The Next Day

Me and Rachel rushed into our class of 'Defence Against Dark Arts'. We settled on our seats.

'My name is Sophie Algiris! Welcome,to my class of Defence Against Dark Arts, i'll be teaching you all how to defend yourselves against all the dark creatures' introduced Prof. Sasha Algiris.

While Prof. Sasha was teaching us i couldn't concentrate, my mind was loaded with a million questions about my dream.

'Miss Valerie? I can see you're absent minded' called out Prof. Sasha pointing her wand towards me.

'I...i'm sorry I got distracted' i replied.

We were out for our Flying lessons on broomsticks!

'I'm excited for this one' I chuckled.

'I'm a lil bit scared, i might fall and break a few bones' Andrew shuddered.

'No you won't' i replied

We all aligned with our broomsticks next to our feet.

Prof. Jade Hill introduced herself and instructed us to bring our hand forth and say 'Up' to get the broomsticks in our hand.

We all got our broomsticks in our hand.

'Excellent' praised Prof. Jade.

Prof. Jade instructed us on how to control our broomsticks and all the necessary knowledge we needed about flying on the broomsticks.

'Andrew, give it a go' i said.

'Do you really wanna get rid of me?' joked Andrew.

'Oh hell no! I don't! I want you to be braver, and experience is gonna earn you that! We give it a go together on the count of 3 okay?' I comforted Andrew! I really wanted him to relax and gain some confidence in himself. He saw himself as a complete loser which he wasn't.

'Hold my hand please' asked Andrew all scared.
'Haha okay, here you go.' I said as i held Andrew's hand.
'1..2...3 go' we both yelled out together.
And we did very well! We did not mess up at all!

Prof. Jade praised us on doing so well at our first attempt. Andrew was proud. And i liked seeing him gain confidence.

'See? I told you not to be scared so much' i spoke while brushing my fingers in Andrew's hair!

Just then a really mean girl pushed Andrew out of my way.

'Your boyfriend's a baby, needs to hold your hand so he won't break his candy rotted bones' said Melissa Fernez. She had dark black hair with a bob cut, very thick eyebrows and a long chin. And i guessed it right away she was the School's mean girl.

I picked up Andrew helping him brush the dirt off him and went up to this meanie who had angered me to the point that made me want to smack her face off her body.

'First, he is not my boyfriend! Second, you do not have to burn because someone with 'candy rotted bones' did better than you!' I raged.

'Ooooooo' let out Melissa crossing her arms!

And before she could speak more and boil my blood further more i walked away with Andrew giving her a zero chance to utter out unnecessary bully words.

I roamed around Hogwarts with Andrew and Rachel. We three were getting along very well. We played, messed around and teased Andrew alot.

We all gathered at the hall for dinner. And the feast began.
'I must say, dinner is the best part at Hogwarts' said pleased Andrew eating the roast like a dog.
'But for me, you guys are the best part' i said truthfully, giving them a warm smile of love as they both gave me an admiring look and spoke together 'Same'.

It was bed time. We all exchanged goodnights with each other, everyone went to sleep peacefully except me.
Something weird was happening, i was attracting something i couldn't see. It was pulling me towards itself and made me get out of my bed. I kept tiptoeing and got out of the room.

In the Hallways i heard someone whispering, someone calling. I saw a hideous shadow. It gave me a sign using it's hands to follow it. I couldn't stop myself i kept following.
The curiousness to see the actual thing rather than a shadow lead me from tiptoeing to walking fast to running. The shadow speeded up as well and just then the school guard caught me.

'What do you think you are doing, miss?' He growled.
'I...the..the shadow, where is it?' I shuddered.
'So now you're gonna make a fool out of me little kid?' He accused as he tightened his grip on my arm.
'No! I'm not lying, I swear, I came out unintentionally, please listen' i begged and just then Prof. Cephus Xelamia ran into us.

'What. Is going on here?' asked Prof. Cephus Xelamia in a low heavy tone.
'I found her roaming around the hallways at this time which is strictly prohibited.' He reported.
'Professor! Please give me a minute so I can explain myself, something lead me out of bed, I... I was out of control i'm not lying, please' I begged.
'You go Jurfaz! I'll handle this young lady' Prof. Cephus Xelamia commanded.
'So! First you break a rule, then you lie' Prof. Xelamia accused.
'I saw a shadow, I heard whispers, someone was calling me and it lead me out of bed! I had no control over myself! I've been having weird dreams and i'm confused! Help me, please! I'm all alone in this' i begged as i had no option than to spill it all out because hiding these things would've gotten me nowhere.
Professor gave me a close look, examining me with his eyes squinted.
'What's your name again? He asked.
'Valerie Professor, Valerie Anderson' i replied.
'Anderson' He mused.
'Go to bed now, we'll figure this out' he ordered.

It was morning, me and Rachel reunited with Andrew in the hallways. On our way to our class I decided to tell them the things that were happening to me.
'I wanted to tell you guys something!' i said.
'What is it?' Rachel asked.
We stood in a corner together and i started telling them about all the dreams and the incident that took place yesterday.
'I've been having really bad dreams, I saw a witch who had prisoned my parents and had tortured them to the extent they couldn't make a move' 'Yesterday i got out of control, a shadow made me follow it, I heard whispers and i really don't know what's happening to me!' I explained.
'Well...that's not good' said Andrew.
'Andrew's right, hearing whispers, shadow and this dream? It's a bad sign. And i guess..... the dreams are giving you some sort of information about your parents? What if your parents are really prisoned by some witch and they're alive?' accused Rachel.
'You should talk with the Professors about this. They know about these things better than we do and they will help you figure it out' added Andrew.
'Yesterday, i told Professor Cephus all about it and he told me he'll figure it out.' i replied.
'Okay, we'll also try to help you with that!' said Rachel. I smiled and we continued walking to our class.

All our classes were over. We were roaming around and were playfully teasing each other. Andrew kept making ugly faces and made us laugh heartily. All of a sudden someone tapped my shoulder! I turned around to see it was Prof. Cephus.

'Follow me' he commanded.
We followed and he stopped.
'Not you two, only you' Prof. Cephus said gazing at me.
I nodded at Rachel and Andrew and followed Prof. Cephus.
He took me to the Headmaster's office.

'I'll take it from here, Cephus' said Prof. Alferdoz.
'Valerie, Cephus told me about the things going on with you! And it's time you should know who you are, what's your purpose and what these things mean!' added Prof. Alferdoz.

I wondered what could it be?

Prof.Alferdoz handed over an old dusty diary to me and said 'This will help you know all that you need to know'.
