Haru (Exo and SHINee FanFic)

Chapter 20

Jonghyun's POV 

I kicked open the back door of our house and stormed in, Cho Hee tried to approach me but I just shoved her aside and rushed over to Haru. I smirked taking hold of her good arm and lifting her onto her feet. I knew Kai would never make it here in time to take Haru away because whether he likes it or not she's ours now. I pulled Haru toward one of the small closets in the centre of the entire house. 

"Your little boyfriends are here for you Haru." I laughed opening the heavy wooden door and shoving Haru into the darkness of the closet. Her face filled with fear and confusion at my statement, my eyes couldn't help but wander to her neck, Cho Hee's make shift bandaging was still wrapped around her delicate porcelain like skin. I reached forward and in one fluid motion I tore the tape and bandaging from her neck causing her to let out a pained shriek as I lunged forward sinking my fangs deep into her neck. I could feel Cho Hee bashing on my back and trying to pull me away from Haru but I wouldn't release, not until I got enough blood to last through what ever battle was to come. Haru's small hands grabbed onto my arms trying to pry me away from her, it was a cute attempt but her hands soon fell limp back to her side as she got to weak to fight. Once she stopped fighting entirely I pulled away admiring the bite marks I left in her neck and the blood streaking down her. I smirked pushing her further into the closet. I shut and locked the door before turning to Cho Hee wiping the blood from around my mouth.

"Jonghyun you cant just leave her in there like that she's bleeding!" Cho Hee shrieked and reached for the door knob. I caught her wrist gripping it tightly making her whimper. 

" Cho Hee Exo is on their way here, shouldn't you worry about that first?" I pushed her arm away from the door. "Don't you dare touch this door or help Haru, Exo pulled her into this world its her problem now she cant have people protecting her all the time. " I pushed past her and went to the back door locking it followed by the front door. 

Haru's POV

My breathing shook as I slid down the wall of the closet, the entire closet was empty accept for a bar running across the top to hang coats on with a few wooden, empty hangers on it. I let a tear streak down my cheek considering what Jonghyun had to say. I realized that he's right... I cant always have people fight my battles for me. I attempted to adjust my eyes to the darkness to see if there was anything useful in this closet. There was nothing on the floor but when I looked up I spotted one of the wooden hangers. Forcing myself back onto my feet I took the hanger into my hand and I snapped it over my knee to make a sharp edge. If Jonghyun comes back this is going through his cold dead heart.. I froze at the sound of wood breaking and other voices shouting through the house.

"Kai?" I whispered gripping the broken coat hanger tightly in my hand. 

Kai's POV

We arrived to the set address to find that the front door was locked, Chanyeol seemed to have enough of this game because he simply raised one leg and kicked the door sending it flying into the house. He took a step back for me and the others to go in first. 

"Haru!" The house was old and it smelt of mildew, Wait something seems familiar here.. I took in a second breath and I froze. I could smell Cho Hee but that wasn't what worried me... I smelt Haru's blood like I did back at her house when Luhan scratched her. I looked around for any sign of either Cho Hee or Haru but no one seemed to be there. 

"Did we get here before them?" Mya asked taking a few steps into the living room. I heard her growl loudly and I quickly joined her in the living room to see what the problem was. There stood Cho Hee, the room was almost completely dark other than the lamp that shone dimly next to the couch. She smiled warmly to Sehun, Chanyeol and I but she seemed to ignore the two wolves we brought with us. 

"Hello, Its nice to see you boys again." She said softly acting as if nothing was going on. My anger became stronger, she didn't even acknowledge what had happened, She wanted this to be like some sort of social visit. 

"Where's Haru!" I growled and took a few steps closer, Cho Hee suddenly looked shocked.

"Y- You've grown up fast Kai." She sputtered. This is just wasting time, I turned to the wolves and nodded giving them the signal to search the house. Just like that we spread out through the house checking bedrooms and the main rooms. I got to a small closet, the blood scent was the strongest at the door but just as I reached out for the door knob someone grabbed my wrist gripping it tightly. 

"I wouldn't open that if I were you." Jonghyun chuckled pushing me away from the door. I growled knowing Haru must be in there so I tried to shove Jonghyun out of the way but he wouldn't budge. "Your little girlfriend has to learn that being in this world has its consequences.  She's our toy now remember?" 

"Jonghyun open the door." I said sternly making Jonghyun laugh. "Please... Just let me see her." I would never beg a vampire but it seemed to work because Jonghyun did open the door slowly. When it was fully open my eyes widened in surprise at the mere sight of what happened. Haru was bloody and pale but that wasn't what got me.
