A few days went by with no contact from Jim. Sebastian couldn't lie, he was a little disappointed. There was just... something about him that made him want to please him, to make him proud. But he didn't know why. Perhaps it was because Jim was so powerful, he figured he didn't have much to offer him, which only made him want to impress the man more.
Sebastian let out a sigh, blowing out toxic smoke as a cigarette hung from his lips. He's just been stuck with his thoughts, and almost all of them were about the master criminal.
There were obvious things that Sebastian still greatly despised about the man. He certainly loved attention, and if he wasn't getting it, he'd purposefully move the spotlight to him. But of course, that was also something Sebastian couldn't help but admire about the man. The way he could go from being the center of attention, to being impossible to find was something the gunman couldn't help but envy the smallest bit. Even he himself couldn't do that.
Sebastian shook his head and reminded himself that this same man forced him to be apart of his side. Hell, he held him at gun point. If he didn't join the man, he wouldn't be sitting here. That thought was the ice breaker. No matter how interesting this man was, or how much Sebastian wanted to impress him, to show him that he was more than the average assassin, that thought always brought him back to hating the criminal. He was forced into this, no questions asked.
With a huff, Sebastian stood up, stubbing his cigarette out and tossing it in a nearby ashtray. He needed to clear his head. All of these thoughts were confusing him. He ran a hand through his hair and grabbed his jacket, along with the keys to his flat, and decided to head out to the one place he always went to clear his head. Not only did it help his thought process, but it also made him concentrate. Which was something Sebastian definitely felt like he needed. It was a shooting range that he went to quite often throughout the last few years. Whenever he was holding a gun, it always calmed him down. Which definitely helped him after he was discharged.
The walk there was rather long, but it was nothing Sebastian wasn't already used to. Those years in the army really helped him withstand a lot. Not to mention, his stamina had really improved since then, making a long walk quite easy and enjoyable for him.
By the time he arrived, he had already gone through two more cigarettes, a third hanging from his lips. Though with slight reluctance, he removed it from his mouth and pressed the end into the wall of the building, flicking it away without a second thought before heading inside.
He was greeted by a familiar smiling face. Marcus, one of the main people who worked here, always had a pleasant attitude towards Sebastian. Perhaps that's why they had become quite good friends in the past couple of years after Sebastian had been discharged.
"Well, well, well. Look who decided to stop by." Marcus said playfully, leaning over the counter which separated both him and Sebastian. Sebastian simply gave him a smile while letting out a soft chuckle.
"Just needed to get out of the house. Shooting helps me concentrate. Besides, I get to try and avoid seeing you." He grinned cheekily. Marcus gave a dramatic gasp and clucthed his shirt where his heart would be.
"Oh Sebastian, I'm truly hurt." He cried, attempting to give the man in front of him a pout, but instead he broke out into a wide smile which Sebastian only returned. After another laugh from Marcus, he placed his palms on the counter and simply asked, "Well, how long d'ya plan on being here?"
Sebastian thought for a moment and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Probably two hours." He answered. Marcus gave a small chuckle.
"Bad day, huh?" He teased, a playful smirk on his lips. Sebastian shrugged softly and grinned at the man.
