Cohen's P.O.V.
It's been three months since I've moved in with dad, mom and the boys. It's February right now, and we're going to Lawson's travel hockey game.
Mom and dad are picking me up at school so I'm patiently waiting to get picked up while sitting in my obnoxiously loud classroom.
"Everybody quiet, please. Let's start our lesson." Mr. Robinson, my teacher said.
"Today, we're starting with math, so everybody take out us textbooks." Mr. Robinson told us and everybody groaned."Mr. Robinson, can Cohen Travis come to the office with all his things? He's getting picked up for the day." The secretary said over the classroom PA system.
"He sure can." Mr. Robinson replied and the secretary got off the PA.
I grabbed all my stuff and brought them to my locker.
I put my books in my backpack and went to the office.
Mom and dad were in there and I walked in.
"Ready?" Mom asked.
I nodded and we walked out of the school and got into the van.
"Your IPad and headphones are in the seat pocket in front of you." Mom told me as we started driving.
I nodded and took them out.We drove to the Boy's high school and I went in with mom and dad.
Lawson and Marcus were already in the office, but they had to call Corey down.
"You boys go get in the van and we'll wait for Corey." Dad told us.
We nodded and walked out of the office and Corey was coming down the hallway.
He was looking down at his phone and I ran up to him.
I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"Hey bud." He said not looking away from his phone.
"How'd you know it was me?" I asked as we pulled away.
"Because I don't think there would be another little kid in the school who would be hugging me." He answered as we walked to the office.
Mom and dad signed Corey out and we got into the van."Why do I have to sit in the very back?" Marcus whined as we started driving.
"Because Corey is always in the back." Dad replied.
"Well so is Cohen." Marcus said.
"I know. But he likes it in the back. Corey doesn't." Dad replied.
It's true, I do like the back. I can lay down almost completely without hitting the other person sitting in the back.
I put my headphones on and started watching a movie. Halfway through the movie, I fell asleep. Two hours later...
I woke up to somebody carrying me and we were in the elevator.
I looked up to see Lawson was carrying me, and I closed my eyes trying to go back to sleep.
We walked out of the elevator, and down the hallway.
We stopped at a door and I heard dad open the door with the hotel key.Lawson put me down on the hotel bed and laid down beside me.
After ten minutes, I sat up and looked around the room.
"Hey sleepyhead." Lawson smirked while looking at me.
"Where are mom and dad?" I asked.
"They went to go get food. Corey and Marcus are in the other hotel room. I'm staying in a hotel room with some of my teammates." Lawson answered.
I nodded and he asked me "Are you ready for the game tonight?"
"I guess. But I should be asking you that question." I answered.
"Well, we've been practicing for this for awhile, so I'm pretty confident that our team is ready. Did you bring your shirt with the team logo on it?" He asked.
"Yeah. It's in my suitcase." I answered.
He nodded and said "Want to go see what Corey and Marcus are doing?"
"Sure." I replied. We got up and went through the connecting door to the other hotel room.
Marcus was watching TV and Corey was dead asleep.
"Guys, we brought dinner." Mom called as they came into the other hotel room.
Marcus got up and went to eat and Lawson picked me up.
"Corey wake up." Lawson said and dropped me on Corey.
Corey groaned and I tried to get up before he could hurt me, but he grabbed my arm.
"It wasn't me. It was Lawson. He dropped me on you. Don't hurt me. I'm sorry." I begged trying to get away from him.
"If it was Lawson, where is he then?" Corey asked looking around the room.
Of course, Lawson went to eat, so he was nowhere to be seen.
