Izuku Midoryia's pov
----------------------------------

Me and Todoroki walked down the steps of the apartment complex and I breathed in a wiff of the air. It smelled like it was gonna rain, but it was so cold, so it may snow too. I kinda regret wearing shorts. I smiled small, then looked up at Todoroki. He looked so beautiful. Wha- I shook my head. That wasn't like me. Calling a boy beautiful. But it is true. I wonder if he works out-
I could feel myself blushing as I looked away. Todoroki looked down at me.
"Are you cold?" He asked me. I looked up at him, and nodded a tiny bit. He smiled, and reached out his hand. I looked at his hand, then back to his eyes.
"C'mon, grab my hand." He said emotionlessly, and I grabbed his hand, intertwining our fingers. Suddenly, my whole hand began to heat up and I blushed, practically melting. He did have a half ice half fire quirk, but my god it felt so nice. I smiled.
"Thank you, Todoroki-kun." I walked a little closer to him, but Todoroki kept looking ahead. He looked focused and full of suspicion.
"Did you hear that?" He asked me, letting go of my hand. I resisted the urge to grab his hand again, but looked forward.
"No, maybe it was just a mouse." I said, looking up at him as he walked slower. I then heard something. I jumped back.
"Ok, now I hear something." I whispered, walking forward. Todoroki quickly grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.
"I don't trust it." He said quietly, and I nodded. I looked up at Todoroki, but then screamed when I felt a cold hand wrap around my shoulder. Todoroki turned to me, but all I could see was blue fire. It was everywhere. I heard Todoroki scream, but I couldn't see him. I jumped away in fear. I turned around to see the source. It was a man with spiky black hair, with purple scars all over his face and body. He had a lot of piercings as he shot fire out of his palms. I turned to the side to see a girl with two messy buns on the side of her head, a gas mask on her mouth, and a shiny knife in her left hand. I then heard coughing and I turned around. I saw Todoroki. I felt relieved, but the girl pulled out a full can of gasoline out of nowhere. My eyes widened as she began running around the two of us, drenching the floor around us. The man with scars and piercings smirked, his bright blue eyes seeming to be glowing.
"The fall of hero's begins today.. prepare to die." He said, and I shook in complete fear. This was a scary villain encounter.
"I-I'm not afraid! Hit me with your best shot!" I yelled, and he smirked.
"See you in hell." Was all he said, his voice scratchy, before he snapped his finger, and a small spark fell on the gasoline line. Before i knew it, me and Todoroki were trapped in a huge circle of fire. I managed to see the two people vanish into a dark and purple portal. The flames covered the sky, and it was hard to see. I began inhaling smoke. I was tempted to run through the fire, and get help, but Todoroki kept coughing. He couldn't use his quirk right now, because of the smoke, and he fell to his knees.
"Todoroki-kun!" I yelled, and ran to him, burning my hoodie a bit. I quickly dropped besides him, coughing. I grabbed his arm and quickly put it around my shoulder.
"S-stay awake and help me..!" I coughed, trying to find a way to escape.
"Look at that fire!" I heard a civilian yell.
"Get a pro!"
"There's people inside!"
"There's to much fire! It's spreading!" I heard many shouts of panic, and began coughing. Fire landed on my cheek, and I yelled out in pain, quickly wiping it off. It hurt, and would probably leave a mark. I could hear the fire cackling as Todoroki leaned against me. He was blacking out. I coughed, then picked him up bridal style. I saw a opening, but it was to small. If we were to jump through, it would burn one of us. I looked at Todoroki, gasping to catch his breath. I set him down quickly and took off my hoodie. I rested it on his face to block out most of the smoke. I began hearing sirens, but my vision was getting more blurry by the second. I picked Todoroki up again and began walking towards the small opening. Before I could get close, it began burning me. I coughed, and drooped a bit. The sirens were getting louder, and it was getting harder to see. Todoroki had to be out of here, quickly, so I knew what I had to do. I quickly planted my foot, then ran forward. I activated full crowling and threw Todoroki through the small opening and out. I saw him roll, then wobbled.
"Grab him and make sure hes ok!" I heard a civilian yell, and that's all i needed to hear. I walked back, smiled, and began to run to it myself, but i stopped when i heard a loud pop. I looked up. A lamppost had gotten caught into the fire and the top popped off. I wasn't fast enough to move, and the top came crashing down on me. I fell down, and coughed. I could feel warm tears scrolling down my face, mixing with blood. I kept coughing. I couldn't lift it, and i knew I was getting weaker from the smoke.
"H-help..!" I put my arm out, but no one came. I blacked out, praying I wasn't gonna die.

{Time skip: brought to you by my lamp next to me UwU.
Note to lamp: please dont fall on me next ;-;}

I turned my head, breathing slowly. I couldn't remember what happened, but I saw I was in a hospital bed, hooked up to a machine. I turned to the side, and my eyes widened. I saw Todoroki, sleeping peacefully, hooked up to a machine as well. He had serious burn marks, but other than that, he seemed to have only a cut on his cheek. I jumped off the bed, ripping the needles out of my arm and walked to Todoroki's bed side. I could feel tears forming.
"I'm so sorry.. I let this happen.. I couldn't do anything.." I wiped my face, and sat back on my bed.
"Sorry.. sorry.. I-I'm sorry, sorry.." I put a hand to my face, trying to stop the tears. I heard the door open, and a doctor with neatly combed hair. His glasses on his face made his brown hair stand out. He had freckles as he walked to my side of the bed.
"Hey buddy, listen. It's not the fault. Civilians said you threw him out of the fire, but trapped yourself. That was brave. An ambulance arrived just in time. He was in perfect condition, but you were worse. Don't worry, and you both will be able to return home. Your guys mother must be so worried." He chuckled, and I wiped my tears with a smile.
"Oh, we aren't brothers." I chuckled, and the doctor smiled.
"Well, I'm sure he's probably really grateful now, boy. You saved him. But next time, find a safer way. You could've died." He sighed, and patted my shoulder with a smile. "Anyway, once he wakes up, I'll prescribe you with some anti pain medicine and bandages, then you can check yourselves out and head home. Your friend should be fine, but you'll need to clean your wounds on your forehead and arms every day. Okay?" He said, and I nodded.
"Thank you." I said with a smile as he left. I laid back in my bed, my head in pain. I rested my eyes, before opening them hearing a groan from Todoroki. I sat up and our eyes met.
"Todoroki-kun! Your awake! Are you feeling alright?" I asked him, but he seemed upset. He didn't speak.
"Todoroki-kun..?"
"I've been awake.. and I heard what you did.." His hands shook and I stood up with a sigh.
"Are you alright?" I asked again, but Todoroki jerked his head up, tears filling his eyes.
"Don't you get it?! You could've died all because of me! If I wasn't so weak, we wouldn't be here! You'd be home safe with your mom, and this wouldn't have happened!" He yelled, tears going down his face. I lowered my head.
"I should've been the one stuck in the fire.. I should've died.." He mumbled, and now it was my turn to snap my head up.
"Don't ever say that!! Ever! I did that for you because I care about you! I did that for a reason! I CARE ABOUT YOU, TODOROKI!" I yelled, and coughed into my hand mid-sentence. I looked at my hand and saw a speck of blood. I wiped it on my shorts and looked at him. Todoroki's eyes were wide, tears coming down his face. I sat back down, my throat hurting.
"I-Im sorry... I didn't mean to shout-" before i could finish, Todoroki ran up, wrapping his arms around me and cried into my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him, shocked. This was a whole new Todoroki. He was showing all of his emotions, and he was even hugging me.
"Please dont ever do something so reckless like that ever again.." He said, and I nodded.

"Of course." I said, hugging him back.
