What if every time you ask someone to describe you, they give you a different description? You're hair, eye color, skin tone, face structure, all of it is different to each and every person. And it's all based on their "perfect type". That's my situation. See, I do know what I really look like. What my true looks really are. However, every time I ask someone to describe me, their answers are always different.
"You have blonde hair, green eyes, and freckles!"
"You have red hair, brown eyes, and a pale skin tone!"
"You have dark brown eyes, jet black hair, and full lips!"
These are the things people describe me as looking. They see what their "perfect type" would be. You could say they see me as they want to see. No one has ever told me what I actually look like. I haven't found my "perfect guy" yet. You know, the one where he loves you and believes you're the "perfect girl" for him.
In my opinion, that's dumb lovey dovey crap! No one is the perfect person for someone else. That "perfect person" is gonna have some flaws that either you'll deal with (proving you love them unconditionally) or break up with them for those reasons.
Anyway, this is my story of constantly hearing what I don't actually look like!It was the first day of my sophomore year! I woke up brushed my teeth and went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. When I got down there, my mom was cooking eggs and my dad was at the table, sipping coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Hey Emmie! Good morning!" My mom exclaimed. She knows I hate being called Emmie! I'd prefer to be called by my real name, Emma, but it's just a nickname that stuck since I was a kid.
"Morning momma!"
"Excited for your first day?" my dad asked
"More like terrified! I don't know why though. I went to that school last year and it wasn't that bad!" I said
"The first day is always nerve racking. Don't worry honey. You'll be fine!" My mom explained
"I hope so!"
"Well just go upstairs and get dressed and then come down and breakfast will be done!"
"Alright momma!"
I went upstairs to put on my first day outfit. I've been having this outfit planned since June! My mom loves it. She says it makes my eyes pop! Remember when I said that no one knows what I truly look like, they only see what they want to see. That goes for everyone except my family and my friends. To them, I was the perfect Emma. My looks were correct. The only problem is, I have a really small family and 3 close friends. So, the list isn't big of who sees my true looks.
