I smiled in the mirror at myself. I was feeling confident today. The fact that this wasn't a usual emotion of mine, made me a tad bit happier. The sound of my phone buzzing echoed in my quiet, almost silent bathroom. I smiled at the realization my best friend, Lumi had texted me.
Lumi: COTTON!!!
A small wave of worry rushed across my mind.
Cotton: Yes? Are you okay?
Lumi: I'm way better than ok! You wont believe what just happened!!
I felt better now.
Cotton: Let me guess, did Dom ask you on another date?
Lumi: No! Well...We haven't done that in a while I guess that would be nice..Anyway! Around a week ago, I was getting my mail and the wind was kind of heavy, out of no where this paper flew over and hit me straight in the face!
Cotton: Um. Is that it?
Lumi: No! Let me finish!
Cotton: Oh, Okay.
Lumi: So I picked up the paper (which was now on the ground) and read at what it said.
Cotton: What did it say?
Lumi: GIMME A SEC JESUS COTTON
Cotton: Sorry, lmfao.
Lumi: I'll just send you a pic of it.

Cotton: Lumi...I'm sorry to break it to you...but thats a scam...

Cotton: Sorry.
Lumi: So, I told Dom about it as a joke lol. And I ended up getting convinced by him to buy it and see what happens. So I was walking to my mailbox today and I opened the door thingy and you will not believe what I saw.
Cotton: What did you see?
Lumi: FOUR. FUCKING. PLANE. TICKETS.
Cotton: You have to be kidding me.
Lumi: IM NOT I SWEAR ON DOM'S LIFE
Cotton: I'll have to see it myself to believe you.
Lumi: Fine!

Cotton: Who are we bringing?!
Lumi: You, me, Dom, and Grian! Of course!
Cotton: Oh my gosh! When does the plane lift off?
Lumi: Tomorrow.
Cotton: W H A T

Cotton: REMEMBER THAT ONE TIME YOU GOT GRIAN, DOM AND YOURSELF HIGH AND DROVE YOUR CAR OFF A MOUNTAIN?!

Lumi: Yea I think
Cotton: I'D SAY THIS IS ABOUT TEN TIMES WORSE!
Lumi: Really?
Cotton: YES REALLY.
Lumi: Ok just calm down and pack your shit. Do yoy want to meet up at the airport or do you want me and Dom to pick you up?
Lumi: Your*
Cotton: Are you guys picking up Grian?
Lumi: Yep. Why? Do you wanna see him as soon as possible?
Cotton: No! Well, kinda. It doesn't matter. I just wanted to know.
Lumi: Sureeeeeeee ;)
Cotton: Well, ill see you tomorrow.
Lumi: Byeeeeeeeee
I smiled, filled with excitement. I practically sprinted to my bedroom and began packing for the long trip. I threw in many of my sweaters, pairs of jeans, and shoes. After around an hour of packing and overthinking if I really needing everything I was bringing. I looked over at the clock next to my bed. "9:00 PM" it read. I decided that since i have to wake up early, I should probably go to sleep early. Abd thats exactly what I did.
I awoke to the sound of my ringtone. I already knew or was Lumi who was calling me. I lazily got out of bed and pressed the green button with a phone on it, answering the call. "Hey! Are you ready? We are like halfway to your house." Lumi's voice came through my speakers. I was still in that half asleep, half awake trance. But what he said quickly snapped me out if it. "Wha- Oh! Yes! I'm ready! Just knock when you get here." I lied in an obviously nervous tone. "Ok...Well, ill see you then! Bye!" He said. "Bye." I ended the call. As soon as I pressed the button I threw my phone on my bed and quickly got dressed, brushed my teeth and hai- well, i cant really do that. Right as I was putting my shoes on, I heard a quick knock at the door. Knowing it was Lumi and the others, I shouted, "Come in!". My front door creaked, telling me it was opening or was being opened by someone. "You sounded worried on the call, is everything alright?" Grian asked, sitting next to me and putting his hand on my shoulder. "Yes! I just was worried about getting on the plane. "Oh! Is this your first time on a plane?" He asked, his worried frown turning into a cheerful smile quickly. "Yes."
