I sat at the end of the step outside my house pushing my long brown hair out of my face. Why did Canada have to be so hot in the summer? I let out a loud sigh and whine taking a drink of sprite
'Lauren?!' my mom yells
'Yeah?' I shout back
'Chaz is calling!'
I stand up immediately going to my phone
'Hello?'
'Hey Laur, I'll be round later and everything but Justin's coming back for the rest of the summer and I can't blow him off so is it alright if he comes?'
'Sure not a problem, I haven't seen him since he left'
I shrug but them remember he cant see me. I haven't seen Justin since we were thirteen. I had a crush of him then, but I don't anymore. I mean I have my own boyfriend. Shit, I forgot to call him. His names Jake and I think I'm falling in love with him, I can't even admit that to myself.
'Yeah I know, I'll see you soon alright?' Chaz says through the other line.
'Yeah of course, bye Chaz'
'Later Laur.'
He hangs up first and I sigh. I missed Justin, he texts and calls regularly, and he sees the boys once every month but I have never seen him. And honestly I don't know why. Maybe that will change though, he is staying for the rest of the summer. Right?
