the day I knew I loved her was the day I almost died. not to sound dramatic or anything but it was quite an ordeal. I was in a car accident with my brother. it was my fourteenth birthday and we were going to buy some candles for my cake. a truck came skidding out from the other lane and rolled onto our car. my brother was killed instantly. I wont go into detail. I ended up with a punctured lung, five cracked ribs, a broken arm and leg with a ruptured spleen. if you ask me I was lucky. if they were trapped under a car bleeding out and barely being able to breathe, most people would think about trying to survive, I however could only think about aria and how she would react to the news.

'Quinn died in a car accident with her brother' she would start crying. 'she died quickly, she wasn't in pain' (obviously this was a lie, they always say this to make them feel better) she would avoid eye contact 'we're sorry for your loss' she would run to her room. and that would be it, she'd grieve then fall in love with someone else.

of course this did not happen, and after seven hours of surgery I woke up. aria was by my side. her whole body was trembling when she hugged me as I sat up. her salty tears rolled down my lips and we kissed. the blind were closed and it was just us two. in that moment it felt like the world stopped, it felt like nothing else mattered. undeniably the moment didn't last long and I was bombarded with baffled doctors and nurses trying to figure out how I was alive. but I was indefinitely alive.
