So.. I'm gonna blame my absence on my new phone, and Wattpad pretending it'd deleted all my stories, and not on the fact that I may or may not have basically abandoned Wattpad. Anyway, sorry to my millions of dedicated readers - I can't even keep a straight fsce writing this (but let's face it, I can't do anything straight).
"Wow, this city is huge!" I exclaimed as we toured the city. I had asked to see "some stuff" on the way to the café, so Robin had taken me on a tour of his hometown. It was the first time I'd seen him smile for more than a minute, and it was refreshing for both of us.
"Isn't it?" Robin was clearly trying not to run ahead, and I had to contain my laughter. "I love this place."
"It's great," I agreed distractedly; my eye was on the Gogoat taxi pulling in. Robin followed my gaze.
"Wanna get a taxi the rest of the way there?" Grinning, I ran toward it, feeling his indecision explode. Finally, he sprinted after me, and I heard a shout from behind me.
"You're not beating m-aagh!" Stopping sharply, I turned on the spot, and this time I couldn't contain my laughter.
A girl had pinned Robin.
From what I could gather, the girl had been running for the taxi from another direction, tripped over her white Eevee, and fallen on top of Robin. Her arms were between his own and his body, her legs at awkward angles to avoid hitting - anything. How glad he would be about that.
Her short blonde hair had signs of having recently been dyed pink, and was dangling in front of his eyes; their faces were inches apart, and they were having an intense staring match while trying with all their might not to blush.
They were failing.
Badly.
"A- are you okay?"
"Um, I guess? Thanks for..." Robin nodded toward her legs, at which she simply turned a deeper crimson.
"No problem, I guess." At this point, I was laughing uncontrollably, and they both turned to look at me. "Do you know her?"
"Vaguely. Um," Robin paused, before realising a name was unimportant, "You're still, kind of, um, on top of me?"
"Oh yeah," she bit her lip, "Sorry about that."
"So..." Robin seemed slightly impatient to get out of the situation, "You planning on getting up?"
"I thought I'd stay here, actually." Collapsing onto him, the girl rested her head on his chest. "You're comfy," she mumbled into him.
Robin closed his eyes and bit his lip, as if trying not to scream, before simply bursting out laughing. It wasn't long before the girl followed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"So, I guess we should do names?" Robin still hadn't stopped blushing entirely, though neither had the girl. We were sitting in the Lumiose City Pokémon Centre, and Robin had only glared at me thirteen times on the way for laughing.
"Bethany, or Beth," the girl told us, "and Eevee."
"Shiny," Robin noted, "Nice. I'm Robin."
"Shiny Umbreon?" Beth replied. Robin nodded assent, before almost growling at her.
"And this one," he glared, "is Rose."
Bethany joined Robin in glaring for a moment, before we both burst out laughing. Robin just shook his head.
"So, I'll be off," Robin stood up, but was blocked by my leg.
"Oh no you don't," I warned, provoking a snigger from Robin.
"Or what?"
"Umm..." Robin smirked.
"Can't think of anything, huh?"
"You could threaten to follow him around more," Beth suggested. Robin sighed exasperatedly.
"Why? We had a moment, don't ruin the vibe," Robin smirked slightly. Beth blushed.
"What she said," I grinned at him.
"Ugh. Fine," Robin sat down reluctantly, "but I still don't get why you want me around."
"Nor do I," I answered honestly. "So, Beth, what brings you to Lumiose?"
Robin was looking bored already, but I didn't need to entertain him. Beth's answer shook him back.
"I want to join Team Flare."
"You what now?" Robin shot up in his seat, suddenly intrigued.
"Well, I know they screwed up before with the ultimate weapon, but..." Beth paused. "I feel like I could make an honest change."
Robin smiled grudgingly. "Maybe we have more in common than I thought."
Beth tilted her head, while I asked the question aloud; "What?"
Robin smirked, opening a compartment in his black leather bag, and taking out what looked like a key card.
On it was the crimson logo of none other than Team Flare.
"You - you're in Team Flare?" Beth and I said that simultaneously, but me with an air of horror, while Beth's tone was more hopeful.
"No, I carry this around for fun. Yes, of course I am, but don't shout about it."
I scowled, but Bethany was too wrapped up in badgering Robin to notice the sarcasm.
"Can I join? Can you get me a form or something? How come you don't have the uniform? What-"
"Hold it, sweetie. I don't have the uniform because I convinced them to let me wear my normal clothes. As for joining? There are no forms. There are two ways to join; paying a frankly absurd amount of money, or beating an Admin in battle. It's a screening method." Beth's expression was sinking. "Luckily for you," Robin smirked as Beth perked up, "There's an Admin at this table." Our jaws dropped. "However," he continued, holding a hand up to stop Beth jumping in, "You won't be able to beat me."
"Is that a challenge?" Beth glared.
"It can be," came the smirking reply.
"You. Me. Battlefield. Now."
