Noel Greene

Anna's POV

Tomorrow, all of the students are coming back from Holidays, and I'm nervous.

What do I say to Harry?

I ponder all of this as I lay upside down on a random staircase. Yes you heard me right. Laying, upside down, on a staircase.

Where anyone could find me. Or it could shift and I fall off to my certain death.

But other than that, It's completely safe! I needed a quiet space to sort through my thoughts.

"Hey Gwen." Nelle walks down the stairs with a plate, smirking about the fake name. "I brought you some treats from the kitchen."

I grab a cake off of her plate and motion to the stairs beside me, "Care to join."

She laughs, "Of course, but I'm going to sit, like a normal person."

Noel's POV

Another Holiday wasted away at my feet. I wish I could have been able to spend it at the Weasley's like everybody else. But my mom wasn't going to let me out of the 'Safety of Hogwarts'.

I miss my friends. Harry, Hermione, and of course Ron all went to the Weasley's for Christmas.

So here I am, wondering the halls by myself. The only person here besides the teachers.

I start to hum a Muggle song called "Whistle" by Florida or something, as I walk down yet another staircase. I was concentrating so much on the song that I almost stepped on a girl who was laying upside down. Wait. A girl?

"Excuse me?"

She pulls her head up and looks around. When she finds me she smiles and sits all of the way up. "Hi! Are you a student here at Hogwarts? I thought me and Ne-Caroline were the only ones here?" She said.

I smirk and fold my arms, "So did I. And yes, I'm a student here. I had nowhere to go for the Holidays." I stick my hand out, "Noel Greene, Half-Blood, Gryffindor, friends with the Golden Trio."

She gives me a look but laughs and takes my hand, "I didn't ask for your life story, but OK. I'm Gwen Lila. I'm new so nothing to title me yet."

We hang out for a while when yet another girl shows up.

"Gwen! Where have you been? When I said let's go get some real food, I figured you would follow me!" She punches Gwen on the shoulder.

Gwen jumps up and shoves the girl, "Caroline, this is Noel Greene. She's in Gryffindor, and is friends with Harry Potter."

The way Gwen said it made me think that it had a hidden meaning. I shake it off and shake the girl's hand. "Pleased to meet you Caroline."

Caroline smiles at me, "Same." She turns back to Gwen, "Gwen, I forgot. On the way back, I bumped into Dumbledore. He wants us in his office so we can be sorted!"

Gwen jumps up and down in excitement, then stops. "Caroline? Do you think Dumbledore will let Noel come?"

I shake head and put my hands up, "I don't want to intrude!"

"Noel! You can come! I'll need the support!" Gwen yells.

I nod, and let the two girls drag me to Dumbledore's office. I think I found new friends.
