You is a misfit. You and many others signed up for cryosleep until 2100 when hopefully your differences would be set aside or fixed. The year is 2145 and you wake up to find the world in ruins. The only reason you woke up in the first place was because they needed an army... to fight the last human being east of the desert that is the Atlantic.
I actually really like this idea and I think it's kinda original? I hope I get to use it.
