"We did it." Keith said over the intercom to the other paladins. "We saved earth." Keith yelled in excitement and flew his lion around in circles through the air and soon the other paladins were hooting and hollering and saying "We can finally go home!" and things like that. As Pidge flew her lion through the air Shiro just sat in the back of the lion, looking like he was thinking about something. Something important. Pidge yelled to Shiro as she flew her lion, doing a twirl. "Hey Shiro, aren't you excited? We can finally go home!" She heard no respond and turned her head to see Shiro with his head in his hand. "Shiro? Are you okay?" Shiro looked up at Pidge for once. "Yes Pidge?" Pidge rolled her eyes, saying with less enthusiasm as before, "I said are you excited we are going home?"

Home.

That word was so familiar yet so far away for Shiro, so distant, yet comforting. He gasped as something clicked in his brain.

"Adam."

"Who's Adam? Pidge asked, facing forward in her seat, as to not accidentally crash into the ground. "He's.. Pidge we need to go to the Garrison now." Pidge wizzed around in her seat. "What? Why? Is Adam-" Shiro cut Pidge off. "God, I hope so. Just tell all the paladins to head to the Garrison. There is something important I need to you all." "Ok, Shiro." Pidge said softly, a newfound concern in her voice. "Hey guys, Shiro is telling me we need to go to the Garrison. Just follow me there, ok?" The other paladins tuned into their intercom and Pidge could tell they all nodded. Lance asked, "Wait, why exactly are we going to the Garrison?" Keith chimed in. "Yeah. Is something wrong, Shiro?" Shiro thought about what his response should be for a second, but decided on "No, just, someone very important is at the Garrison and I need to talk to them." With that the paladins made their way to the Garrison.

"Here we are, Shiro." Hunk said over the intercom. The short time it took the get to the Garrison felt like forever to Shiro. All he could think about was Adam. Did he really think his ex was gonna be there? He at least hoped Adam was alive, which was probably the case because during the fight with Sendak they only did minimal damage to Earth's surface from what they saw. Not only was Adam probably fine, but a lot of others. That relieved Shiro. Even when he was thinking of Adam, he still couldn't help but thinking about the innocent lives of others. Not that Adam wasn't an innocent person. Shiro couldn't stop thinking about how his glasses perfectly framed his face in all the right ways, how his smile could light up possibly any room he was in, his chocolate brown eyes that were an orange hue in the light of the sun. The way his lips were as soft as petals against Shiro's when they kissed- "Shiro, Hunk said we're here." Shiro shook his head as if to get rid of those thoughts of Adam, which he could barely manage to do so. "Oh. Thank you. Sorry, I spaced out for a moment." As they starting approaching ground level, Pidge leaning back to Shiro like before and asked, "So are you gonna tell me- and all the others for that matter- who this Adam is?" Pidge had managed to say that loud enough that everyone on the intercom heard it. Lance was the first to perk up. "Yeah Shiro, we are a team, you can trust us, no matter what." Keith nodded to himself and said, "Lance is right. You can trust us." Hunk replied with "I third that." Allura had hardly said anything this whole time, including the fight. Probably because she was fascinated by how different Earth was from planet Aris. She surprisingly added to the string of comments saying, "Shiro, we are like your family. Trust us." Coran leaned toward Allura's mics in her helmet saying, "She isn't lying." Shiro felt better knowing he could trust the paladins- and Coran- with his secrets. But this? He was still a bit unsure, but he knew he would have to eventually. Once all the lions were on the ground, Shiro took a deep breath and explained, "Adam.. was very special to me. We were both mentors at the Garrison and were very close. He didn't want me going on the Kerberos mission because of my-" He stopped. Shoot. Another thing to tell them. "I got this Shiro." Keith almost completely said to just Shiro, even though the other paladins could here them. "Shiro.. has a condition. His muscles tense up and he has to loosen them or something. Good thing is he is in new body now, so that isn't a problem." Keith said with a breath of relief even though he already had known Shiro didn't have the disease anymore, he was still so elated. "Yes, Keith is right. As I was saying, Adam and I are very close." Allura was perplexed, questioning Shiro. "So.. like a boyfriend?" Shiro's heart skipped a beat. "I-uh.." "I got this Shiro, again." Keith said, and Shiro could of sworn he could tell Keith winked. That wasn't good. "Shiro told me awhile ago he was gay. I already knew though, since I had seen Shiro kiss Adam in the hallway on multiple occasions." Shiro could have sworn he heard Keith whisper under his breath, "Sorry Shiro." Everyone was silent. Except for Lance. "Shiro! You never told us you were gay! That's.. actually really cool! Guys, I may have something.. to confess. I'm.." Lance gulped. "I'm bisexual. Oh and me a Keith are dating-" "LANCE! S-SHUT UP." Keith yelled over the intercom, clearly embarrassed. All the while Shiro had been blushing like crazy, he was almost the color of the red lion. "Hey Shiro." Pidge said taking off her helmet and getting out of her seat and going over to Shiro. They could quietly here the paladins talking about Lance and more importantly Shiro's confession on the intercom. Shiro looked up at Pidge, his blush fading. "We still love you Shiro." Pidge hugged Shiro. Shiro hugged her back. "Good to know you guys don't think of me differently." "Pidge put her helmet back on and sat back down in her seat. "Hey guys, lets open up the lions." Everyone responded with "Mhm." The mouths of the lions opened and bright sunlight beams struck the paladins faces. They were finally home.
