Chapter Four

Melody

3 weeks later........

"Mel baby, I'm back!! "Shannon voice boomed from the front door.

"Welcome husband. I'm preparing your fav dish! "I yelled.

"Oh my wifey! That's why I love you so fucking much. "She said appearing in the kitchen.

Our normal routine of pecking each others cheeks.

"Go shower and come and eat! "I said.

"Of course. "She shook her head, leaving for our room to obviously take a shower.

I shook my head laughing, before continuing what I was doing.

Its been 3 weeks. 3 weeks I stopped working in that clubhouse. Yep i got fired,and later found out that the guy who beat me up was the son of the man who sponsors the clubhouse. That unholy jerk!. 3 weeks since I left my number with that stranger. He hasn't called me or sent any text. Not that I cared but my conscience would be at rest if I thanked him. I mean I would have lost virginity if not for him.

Also my dad has stopped drinking. I went home and kinda talked to him, I stayed with them for about 4 days, before leaving. And my mom hasn't complained so things were great for now.

Still no job for me. As a matter of fact Shannon is my everything. I still send money to my parents through the little money Shannon gives me, and I cook for her, do her laundries and even clean the whole house even if she complains about it.

I really don't want to just be a liability to her. She's doing great for me.

The Gerald Hilton who is meant to help me get a job in a company hasn't called Shannon yet. So where is the hope of ever working in a company?

I'll just stick around and find part time jobs in supermarkets or  malls or anything.

"Melody!!!! Melody!!! "Shannon screamed.

"Oh geez! I'm not deaf! "I yelled.

Shannon ran into the kitchen, with her wonder woman nightie and her phone grasped in her hand.

"Guess what?!?! "She shouted.

I rolled my eyes. I'm just right here and she's still shouting. Her voice doesn't crack one bit.

"You've got yourself a boyfriend! "I said ecstatically.

She giggled. "No, far from that. I don't need a boyfriend. I still have my crush, remember. "

"Oh puh..lees. Your boss who is a player. "I rolled my eyes.

Shannon suddenly has a big crush for Tyler James. Her boss.

"He's hot, handsome, rich, and so nice. He talks to me like I'm special. "Shannon daydreamer....

"Isn't that how he talks to every other person? "I teased.

"No! I think he likes me! I really really like him. His captivating hazel eyes gives me magnetic chills. "

I shook my head. "You can even form a poem with him. You're so whipped. "

"Whatever. "Her face change again. "Back to our guess!!! "

"Oh.. "I gave a frustrated sigh. "Can you just say it? I'm not great at guessing as you can witness. "I said, placing our dishes on the table.

"Gerald called. "She said after a while.

I quickly turned, hope rising again.
