"Hey baby can you take ole' Bessie to go get some groceries.", she said

"Really!", I said excited

"Yeah I'm a little busy, James is with his friends, and your father is at the church getting some work done."

"Okay mom", I was trying to hold in the excitement because , dad rarely lets me take the truck unless an emergency or he says it's to dangerous to go downtown. I grabbed the grocery list and the keys from the counter. I rode into town and parked my car close to the store. Miss Betty was in the front of the shop. She was a middle aged black women with red rimmed glasses. I knew her from church.

"Hey Mrs. Betty

"Hey Adrianna who took you up here"

"Nobody I drove all the way here by myself "

"Oh so now you think you grown", she said teasingly.

I chuckled to myself and started to find my ingredients. After I went to go pay for them and I got my bags. I could barely see above them.

"Sweetie you need some help?", she said worryingly.

"No mam I got this"

As I walked out the store I was trying not to bump into anyone. Just as I was trying to look over the bags I bumped into a hard chest and the groceries crushed at the impact and fell.

"No, no, no mom is gonna kill me", I said worriedly.

"Here let me help you"

It sounded like a make voice. I stopped trying to get all the running egg shell in the cart to actually look up. I saw pricing blue eyes that met contact to my brown ones and chiseled features. He was bent over pretty close to me. It was the same guy I met the other night. I held my breath waiting for him to say something. I broke eye contact with him and tried to focus on the groceries. I reached for the bread but caught his hand that was also on the bread. I felt tingles on my finger tips and our heads snapped up. I realized that I was still staring at him but I can't help he is so handsome. I looked down in embarrassment thinking he can read my thoughts.

"Umm... I I'm s sorry I wasn't looking where I was going", I stuttered out

"Your right you wasn't looking and you got in my way." He said rudely

I was token back by his rudeness. I got my voice back.

"I said I was sorry but you don't have to be rude about it", I snapped.

I finally took a closer look at him and realized where I had seen him before. I would see him in the papers because of how great he was. He was the mayors son. I just snapped at the mayors son. My eyes got wide.

"Your the mayors son, your father is the reason we live like this" , I said spiteful.

He was token back by what I just said and had an unread expression over his face. He grabbed my wrist and took me to alley because, I was starting to make a scene. I grabbed my bags as he took me.

"So you think that since I'm the mayors son I'm just like him" , he said

"Well I don't see you doing anything than being the golden boy and doing nothing but playing sports and making daddy proud", I sneered at him

"Look I'm not what you think I' am", he said in a calm tone. I took notice that he had a slight country accent.

"So who are you?" , I said bravely

"You'll know soon enough ", he said it like we were going to meet again. I huffed at him sarcastically like we ever will. He smiled at me charmingly and I didn't buy it but, it some how made me start to blush. It made me loose contact with him. Did I just blush? Getting out of my thoughts he spoke making me look at him again.

"Look I can see that I probably or my father rubber you the wrong way...., he started to take out his wallet. He was giving me money. I shook my head in protest.

"No take it to pay for the groceries since you bumped into me."

Wait did he just say I bumped into him. I huffed at him because I didn't want his money. After he put it in the bag and I was going to protest more he rounded the corner. I sighed and threw away the eggs. I got some new eggs and got all the groceries and went home.
