Second Time

"Courtney!"
"Yuck, please Cy, You know how I hate that name. It is so girly!"
He chuckles, "Sorry Reigh. Masyado kang tutok diyan sa binabasa mo and you didn't notice me kahit kanina pa kita tinatawag. tara, basketball!"
"You know I can't. kailangan kong magreview for the entrance exam!" nagrereview ngayon si Leigh para sa entance exam ng dream university niya sa Manila na gaganapin ngayong Sabado.
"You really decline me huh? Well then, good luck sayo diyan! I'm gonna play with Vince instead. See you!" at umalis na si Raven
Raven Clyde Santiago, her best friend since birth. Their parents are really close to each other kaya naman di nakakapagtaka na maging malapit ang dalawa. Cay is oblivious to his best friend's honest feelings towards him.
It is actually Courtney Reigh Del Mundo's fault. She never shows her true feelings. Ano nga naman ang magandang dahilan para ipakita niya pa ito? She really put herself in safe zone. Ang maging magkaibigan lamang sila. Isa pa, wala naman siyang pag-asa talaga sa kaniyang bestfriend. Because her best friend is in love with somebody else.
Oh—scratch that, she's not just somebody else! She's Chloe Lizette Orpiano, the perfect student in their school. Her totally opposite.
Ano nga ba magiging panlaban niya kay Chloe? Cy has that type of girl na malayo sa ugali at sa kilos niya. Kaya naman habang maaga pa, she really keep it a secret and just move on. Wala rin naman siyang mapapala.
She shrugged off this thought at napagpasyahang bumalik na lamang sa pagrereview niya.
Everyday silang sabay umuwi. Nasa iisang subdivision lamang ang bahay nila at five houses away lamang. Before they straight to go home, palagi silang tumatambay sa park ng subdivision at kumakain ng paborito nilang shawarma.
"Sayang at wala ka kanina Reigh." Busy kumakain si Reigh nang ibaling niya ang tingin niya kay Raven habang nakakunot ang noo. "I did that 3 point shoot! If you really saw that, I'm sure na matutuwa ka."
"Well, good for you! Nagbunga ang mga tinuro ko sayo"
"I know right! And guess what? Nandon si Chloe noong nakashoot ako! I really think na she is my lucky charm! At nakita ko siyang nakatingin sakin at she smiled!"
'hay eto na naman po siya. Di ba niya alam na nahuhurt feelings ko? Sabi ko nga hindi niya alam' Reigh thought.
"Oh talaga. Ligawan mo na kasi siya Cy."
"Pupunta rin tayo diyan. I have plan"
"what plan?"
"I'm going to invite her for a date! On Sunday"
'Sunday? Oh-- It's Valentine's Day'
"I think you really have to invite her early! Magulat ka, may makauna na saiyo."
"I actually did, earlier. Kanina. And she said yes!"
"Congratulations, Mr. Santiago. At last! My loveless best friend will have a date for the very for time. I really hope you won't fail her. Wait--- is this actually the reason why you treat me two shawarma and a Milk tea?"
"Thank you, best friend! Of course I won't fail her. I'm much planned on this date. And yes! Nilibre kita, because I'm happy. I wanna share my happiness with you that's why!"
