The Interview

This one shot is inspired by a chapter in "You're What?" by shewritesall

Peter was sitting in his dad's office. Tony had to go on an unexpected mission with the avengers, so Peter was filling in for him. Peter was excited, he really liked to work at Stark Industries.

But there was one thing he was dreading. He had to interview his high school
bully, Eugene "Flash" Thomson. Peter really hoped that Flash had changed, but just invade he hadn't, Peter made FRIDAY turn on the security cameras in Tony's office.

Peter wondered if Flash would recognize him. Well, everyone recognized him, he was the son of Tony Stark. Tony introduced Peter to the public after he graduated high school. Peter's identity as Spiderman was still a secret though.

"Eugene Thomson is here." FRIDAY informed Peter.

"Let him in." Peter said.

Flash came through the door looking nervous. He sat down at the chair on the other side of Tony's desk. He was looking down, so he didn't realize that Peter was interviewing him.

"Hello, Mr. Thomson." Peter said, he could at least try to be professional.

Flash tilted his head, Tony Stark sounded...young. He finally looked up and saw Peter.

"Penis?!" He exclaimed, shocked. "What the hell are you doing here? I thought I was being interviewed by Tony Stark."

"Dad had to go on a surprise mission, so I'm filling in for him." Peter said.

Flash gave him the stink eye. "Just because you are a Stark, doesn't mean you're better than me. You better hire me Penis, or I'll tell the press a horrible lie about you. Maybe like...you raped someone or abuse your girlfriend. Oh! Maybe I'll tell them you didn't hire me because of my race." Flash growled.

Peter rolled his eyes. "Sureeee. Let's get started."

Peter asked Flash all of the normal questions. Every time Peter asked a question, Flash answered it in a passive aggressive way. Flash also kept reminding Peter than he still wasn't better than him and was still a useless nerd. And Peter didn't let it affect him, of course.

After the interview was finished, Peter told Flash that Stark Industries would call him back if he got the interview.

-A Few Days Later-

"PETER! We have a controversy on our hands." Tony said in a panic. He gave Peter his phone and showed Peter some articles.

Peter sighed. "Flash is my old bully and he threatens to do something like this if I didn't give him a job. I couldn't give him a job, he didn't need all the requirements. I thought it was an empty threat."

"We need to fix this. Some of our investors dropped us." Tony said.

Then it clicked. "I have a video of him threatening to do this. The security cameras in your office have sound. I can prove I'm innocent!" Peter said.

"Well, let's get that evidence."

Peter stood on a stage, surrounded by reporters, business men and women, and cameras. His statement was going to be broadcasted on the news.

"I know you all have questions about the allegations made about me. I can tell you, that they are all false. Eugene 'Flash' Thomson is my high school bully, and he said that he would say bad things about me if I didn't give him a job. And I know most of you won't believe me, so I have evidence right here." Peter said confidently.

A video of Flash and Peter during the interview played on a screen behind Peter.

"Just because you are a Stark, doesn't mean you're better than me. You better hire me Penis, or I'll tell the press a horrible lie about you. Maybe like...you raped someone or abuse your girlfriend. Oh! Maybe I'll tell them you didn't hire me because of my race."

Everybody in the audience gasped. "I hope you all realize that I am innocent and Stark Industries isn't racist. We hire workers of all ethnicities. Mr. Thomson wasn't hired because he was disrespectful, rude, and had a criminal record." Peter explained.

After a few weeks, the whole controversy blew over. It only took that long because Flash's dad tried to sue Peter for slander. It ended up backfiring and Flash was sued for slandering Peter.

Everything turned back to normal after the court case. Mostly everyone forgot about the incident and Stark Industries investors came back.

Life was good.
