Castiel sat on Dean's bed in the Men of Letters Bunker, with a blanket wrapped around him. All he thought about was Dean. He thought of how much he screwed up, and how he blamed it all on himself.

Castiel replayed a single memory in his mind. It was a few days before Dean turned into a demon. They were leaning against Dean's prize possession, Baby...

————————

Dean held open the hood of the car, testing the engine out and polishing up a few things. He held a few metal tools in his hand that Castiel never seemed to care knowing about. Castiel stood 4ft away from Dean, and told his boyfriend how he felt.

"I'm worried about you, Dean."

Dean stopped what he was doing and looked up and down at Cas, "I'm fine."

"I'm worried that you won't be able to control yourself. You'll hurt our relationship."

Dean put the tools down and moved towards Cas, wrapping his arms around him.

"I'm not going anywhere," he paused, "you're adorable, do you know that?"

"Dean, I'm serious."

"Cas, we belong together, you know that. I'm not going anywhere."

———————

Tears began to pool around Cas' eyes. He missed his boyfriend. Dean had broken his promise to him completely. Sam had been there to comfort him through it but it'd been rough, because there was nothing the both of them could do.

Cas hardly trusted Dean anymore.

There was a knock on Dean's bedroom door, and Cas sighed.

Sam came in, "Hey.."

He stepped aside to reveal Dean, pushing the door fully open. He sat down next to Cas on his bed.

Castiel hadn't seen Dean in person for at least a month. And in that time, it seemed like he had taken better care of his looks. His hair was flawlessly combed into the style of his choice, he looked cleanly shaved, and there was a new scent that came about him.

"Hi Cas."

Sam moved his eyes back and forth between the two of them, "I'll go get a beer. Want one?"

Dean smirked, "No thanks, Sammy."

Cas shook his head.

"Why are you here?" The angel asked

"To see you," Dean paused, "I'm willing to change for you... and you only."

Cas seemed interested

"We'll make a plan." Dean addressed

Cas frowned, curious, "what for?"

"I'll go back to Crowley. I have enough power to knock him down, but I don't have enough power to completely end him. But once I have it, I'll knock him off his thrown and we can rule together. You. Me. And no one else."

"I can't trust you, Dean."

"I'm not saying you have to."

Dean stood up and slowly walked to the door, and that was the moment that he was certain of how he felt. He would do anything in order to get Castiel back in his arms.
