Alex was looking forward to the time he'd be able to spend with Lucy during the summer. But by the first day, she was ignoring his texts. His parents said that Lucy's parents were busy and so was she. But he knew she'd try to make time for him. She never did.

Now it's the first day of school and he knew he'd have at least one class with her. He was dreading it, but he was excited. Maybe he would be able to sit with her. As he was thinking, he felt that someone was looking at him. He turned around and saw a girl staring at him.

He could easily recognize her, but she was wearing a dress. And her hair was brushed and curled. She wasn't what he remembered. Maybe it isn't actually her. She didn't smile at him. She blushed and turned away, quickly walking away. Alex knew it wasn't her.

He walked to his first class; English. The second he walked in there, he saw the girl. She was writing in her notebook and didn't notice him. Alex sighed and looked for an empty table, but there wasn't one. He saw a boy in the back corner and decided to sit with him. The boy looked up quickly to see Alex put his stuff down, but wrapped his arms tighter around the thing he was working on and continued.

Alex looked at the white board, not really focusing on anything but it's shininess. His mind kind of drew a blank until he heard a name called by the teacher..

"Lucy Smith?" He sent his eyes to fly around the room, looking for her.

"Here." The girl he saw earlier raised her hand. So that was Lucy. Alex couldn't believe it. Last time he checked, she was nowhere near the type that would wear a dress unless she really has to. Alex shook his head and stopped staring at the back of her head. He had his head on his desk until he head his name.

"Alex Wolff?"

"Here." He said. Lucy's blonde hair went flying and spun in her seat to look at him. Their eyes met quicker than last time before she was facing the right way again. Was she wearing makeup? Alex mentally asked himself. Okay that really can't be Lucy
