Life as a Mahone

All because of popcorn

- Austin's POV

"DUSTIN!"

"WHAT AUSTIN?" He yelled back

"COME HERE"

"I JUST GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER. GIVE ME A SEC"

"NO COME HERE "

A few seconds later I could hear footsteps running down the hall

"What could possibly be so important that I had to come, before I could get dressed?" he asked with a sarcastic tone in his voice

"My song"

"Huh?"

"My song. Look" I said as I turned the computer around so he could see what I see

"Austin it's at number two! That's awesome!"

"I know" I said smiling

"Well I'm gonna go get dressed now and them well go out and celebrate or something" he said as he turned around

"Nice towel!" I yelled at him as he walked away

"Yeah whatever" he mumbled back

Is at #2.....

How am I supposed to feel?

"What the hell was all that yelling for?" my mom said as she walked in my room

"My song. It's at number two...." I said with a smile on my face

"AUSTIN THATS GREAT! LETS GO CELEBRATE!" she yelled back as she dropped her laundry basket she was holding

"So are we going out or not?" Dustin said as he poked his head in my room

"Of course! let me go and get my purse" My mom said as she walked out the door

"Let's go" I said as I grabbed my phone and went downstairs

"Where do you wanna go?" Dustin asked me as he followed me downstairs

"Let's go get some ice cream or something" I said as I walked out the door

"Ice cream it is" Mom said as we all got in the car

After ice cream we all went home and watched a movie on the couch

"Let's make popcorn" I suggested

"We actually are out so I will run to the store really fast" she said as she got up and grabbed her purse

"See you soon" Dustin said as she walked out the door

"I'll be right back" Dustin said as he went upstairs

I picked up my phone and checked twitter just to see thousands of thousands of mentions

There's no way in hell I can respond to these.....

"Hey!" Dustin said snapping his finger in my face

"What?"

"You looked really out of it"

"Yeah sorry..... I just got distracted" I said as I put my phone down

An hour passed and still no word from mom

"Why is it taking her so long?" I asked nervously

"I don't know, I was wondering the same thing" Dustin replied

I paced and paced and paced and called and texted my mom

Nothing....

A few minutes later the phone rang

"Hello?"

"Is this the Mahones?"

"Yeah this is Austin"

"I'm sorry Mr Mahone but your mom was in an accident"

"What? is she okay?"

"She's at Mercy General hospital"

"I'll be there in twenty minutes" I said as I hung up

"What's going on?" Dustin asked standing up

"It's mom. She's was in an accident.
