Chapter 3

It's been a few days since the new paladins found Miki most his wounds healed. Right now the Paladins are having a meeting on weather or not to take Miki with them to space to continue their never ending battle against the Galra. Miki sits outside the door of the dining hall his head resting on the cold wall behind him. Ebony is now functioning enough to do small runs but nowhere near ready to battle. He lets out a small sigh before standing up. For once he's not in his armor but in his regular clothes consisting of a black sleeveless hoodie with red bird wings painted on the back, red skinny jeans from Lance. His black boots make a hard tapping sound as he walks the empty halls. He looks forward as he walks his mind wondering to his old team. Keithro, Mary, Sarah, Larorance.

I open my eyes everyone is sitting and laughing and Sarah's and Laronace's bickering. Torlos sitting next to me eating contently. His ring proudly on his hand. Coranic ,as everyone has now nicknamed the poor soul, stands by his side. Keithro glares at the two.
"Be quiet and eat guys." He says coldly to the two. I sigh looking over at my son.
"Lighten up. We rarely get moments like this. Enjoy the laughter instead of our constant screams of frustration." He lets out a growl his Galra fangs showing prominently.

"You tell me to relax when Zarkon could be on his way right now!" He shouts angrily toward me. I set my spoon down and fold my hands in front of me and look at him.
"Do not shout. I know your mad but after this it's back to our regular schedule. Training, team building. But we all need some down time." I say calmly looking at him. He slams his hands down on the table and quickly leaves. By now everyone is silent and not eating. I sigh getting up from my spot.
"I've got it guys." I say leaving the table following Keithro. I find him on the gazing deck his ears lowered in anger and anxiety.
"What's wrong?" I hear him growl and turn to look at me hate in his eyes.
"What's wrong?! What's wrong!?" He shouts his galra attitude showing more and more. "You didn't even ask what I thought of you marrying him!" He throws his hands in the air. I take a step toward him, he growls at me his fangs showing.
"Your right I should have asked you. I didn't plan that it would get this far. But You can't stay mad at me. I'm sorry." I say walking toward him again. This time I'm met with his claws going through my left shoulder. The blood staining my sweater with wings on it. Keithro had run out the room and left, never seen again.

Miki snaps out of his flashback having managed to walk to the library in the castle. He lets out a small sigh.
"At least they have books to read." He walks into the seemingly never ending room walking to a random shelf he looks at the titles one catching his eyes. 'Alternate timelines' He lets out a small chuckle.
"Oh the irony." He says taking the book from the shelf wiping the dust off. It's a book from earth, most of them are. He looks at the shelves making a mental note to ask Allura or Coran or someone what happened to the Altain books. 'Bummer because I wanted to learn their peoples history and compare the notes from Torlos.' He pulls out a chair from a table in the center of all the books setting his book down he takes a quick glance around him before slipping on his reading glasses.

Pidge walks out of the dining room in her armor letting out a sigh. She knew Miki was sitting out in the hall before but now he's gone. "Uh did anyone see where Miki went? He's not in the hall anymore." She says looking at the group behind her.
"I told you we couldn't trust him." Keith says and Shiro rolls his eyes at his remark.
"I'm sure he didn't go far." Allura says getting up. Keith nods thinking.
"We should split up and find him." Everyone nods in understanding. It may have been a few days but he hasn't opened up to anyone but Shiro and he really didn't open up.
"I'll check the library for him." Pidge says. Lance chooses to check the hangers with Hunk. Shiro heads to where Ebony is stored right now. Keith, Allura and Coran decide to check the cameras. Pidge walks the hall to the library, she looks around the door it being open her bayard at the ready incase she has to fight.
"He's not in the hangers." Lance says in annoyance. We hear hunk groan over the mic.
"He's not by his lion either." Shiro says a bit puzzled.
"I think he's in the library. The door's wide open." Pidge says looking around again. "I'm going in."

"Of course this guys a nerd too." Lance grumbles a bit. Pidge rolls her eyes, seeing as everything was lit she just followed the shelves till she got to where the tables are seated. Miki is sitting in a chair his altain arm propping his head up. He has reading glasses on reading a book on alternate timelines. She tires to hold her laughter but fails slightly.
"He's reading guys. You seriously freaked out thinking he was a danger to us." She says looking back to where Miki is only to not see him.
"Shit." She lets out a small growl.
"Language Pideg." Shiro can be heard saying.
"Quiznack?" She says jokingly.

Miki was now standing behind Pidge ready to die of laughter because of Shiro. But his face goes pale when he hears her say 'Quiznack.'
"A lady your age should not be swearing like that Pidge." Pidge jumps feeling her soul leave her body for a moment and swings her bayard at Miki successfully hitting him across the chest with the weapon. He twitches for a second before looking down at the new hole in his hoodie.
"Pidge what happened?" Keith asks over the helmet. "Everyone to the library now!" He says and everyone runs to the library. Miki looks sad at the hole.
"I just patched this up, now I have to do it again."He says letting out a small sigh. "Sorry for scaring you." He says looking at her his glasses still on.
"I-it's fine. Everyone is on their way over." She says looking up at him a bit. Suddenly a wild Lance runs in tackling Miki to the ground knocking his glasses onto the ground. Miki quickly pushes him off and is quick to disarm him of his bayard.
"Lance don't get up but listen." Miki says only to have the space wolf tackle him. He groans looking up at the dog.
"Keith call your mut off!" He says looking at the dog who was growling is now licking his face. As everyone enters the room the dog jumps off Miki who is now drowning in the slobber. Pidge helps him sit up, Coran hands the poor boy a cloth to wipe his face.
"What happened?" Allura and Coran let out a small laugh when Keith asks. Pidge lets out a small laugh as well.
"Before you overreacted Miki just scared the shit-" "Language" Miki and Shiro both say at the same time. She glares at the now two space dads. "Anyway. Miki just scared me by walking behind me." Allura laughs now.
"I think we saw your soul leave for a moment." Coran nods snickering. "And it's all on camera." Coran adds in.
"Wait wait, so Miki was just in here reading?!" Lance shouts the last bit and Miki nods.
"Till you so rudely knocked my glasses off when I scared Pidge." Shiro raises a brow.
"Glasses? For what?" Miki just looks at him like 'You fucking kidding me right?'
"For reading numbnuts." "Language." Shiro says right after he finishes talking.
"And I sometimes need them to see in general." Miki says getting up off the floor. He has a small long cut showing through the hole now but hasn't noticed it. "Now what's the verdict?" He asks looking around at them. The room falls quite as they didn't really decide.
"Well it's your choice whether you stay here or you come with us." Allura says with a small smile. Miki looks like he's thinking, truth be told he already decided.
"Why the hell not. Worst that happens is death." He says with a shrug. Almost everyone smiles at him, the room silent till a stomach growl brakes it.
"Hunk you just ate." Lance says to Hunk who was standing next to him.
"It wasn't me for once I swear." He holds his hands up in defence then everyone turns to look at Miki who is looking at his stomach in betrayal and defeat.

Everyone lets out a chuckle. "It's around lunch time anyway. Lets eat before we take off." Keith says with a small smile. As they leave Miki grabs the book he was reading and looks for his glasses but doesn't see them. Pidge walks next to Miki and hands him his glasses giving him a dorky smile. He lets out a small laugh. "I'll be right there. I'm going to change." He says to her leaving the group no one really noticing. Miki comes back to the room with a altian shirt Coran gave him seeing as he outgrew it and Miki's frame was small so it fit him nicely. He sits on the opposite side of everyone else. As they eat with small chater filling the room. Lance was playing with his goo on the spoon and sends it flying at Miki hitting him square in the face. "You did not just do that Lance." He says with a smirk sending a spoon full aimed at him but his Shiro. Shiro looks angry at first but then sends a hand full at him only to hit Coran and the fight goes on for what seems like a hour. Once it ends the room is filled with laughter and space goo everywhere. "I haven't had this much fun since the space mall." Shiro says with a laugh. "Space mall?" Miki tilts his head in confusion. They all look at him and laugh a bit knowing this is going to be a long fun trip.
