| Chapter 2: Sleep over. |
Sonic's P.O.V.
I stopped in my tracks turning on my heels. I felt my face heat up and I knew I was blushing because that green hedgehog from the cafeteria was standing right in front of me.
He was right in my face smiling.
" You dropped your jacket." He said handing it to me. I smiled, " thank you." He nodded and I struggled to tie it correctly around my waist.
" Here let me help you." He placed his hands on my waist and grasped my jacket sleeves tying them together.
My face was probably as red as Knuckles fur right now.
I felt his hands slide off of my waist and then I heard his soothing voice. " You look cute in that. I'm Scourge by the way." He held out his hand for me to shake it and I gladly shook it.
" I'm Sonic, nice to meet you. " He smiled letting my hand go. " I'll see later Sonic." He walked off and I walked in the other direction.
I arrived in class three minutes late. " I'm glad you decided to join us Ms.?..." I smiled at her sheepishly. " Sonic. I'm new here, I'm sorry I got a little lost on the way."
She nodded. " Ah, I see. Well take a seat near Rouge. Rouge please raise your hand so Ms. Sonic knows who you are. "
Rouge raised her hand a smirk inching its way onto her lips. I walked over and took a seat when she passed me a note that read;
' I see you that you got a bit distracted with Mr. Scourge over there~ '
I felt my face heat up and I glared at her replying with;
' You spying on me? '
' Possibly, or maybe Scourge came back blushing and shyly talking about you~ '
I hit her arm lightly and she smirked. The period ended quickly, possibly cause I decided not to pay attention.
Ah well, its not like today's lesson mattered. The bell rang and I walked out and then someone grabbed my arm.
I turned to see Rouge. " Hey uh did you need something?" I asked. She nodded. " I'm having a sleep over, and I was wondering if you'd like to come, you don't have to but I figured you'd at least like to be invited."
I nodded my tail swishing back and fourth excitedly. " Oh and by the way," she started, the ghost of a devious grin playing at her face.
" I invited Shadow and Scourge over. "
I felt a blush make its way to my cheeks. " You didn't! why!? they aren't even our friends! " I argued. " I invited them so you could get a shot at one," she shrugged and walked away.
I groaned walking out and just as I did a crack of lightning lit up the sky and within seconds the rain started pouring really hard.
I groaned. ' Just great. '
Just then a car pulled up besides me. The window rolled down and I saw that black and red hedgehog inside. " Look, I know we got off on a bad start and all but let me give you a ride to make up for it."
I rolled my eyes. " Are you kidding?, your probably going to stab me for kicking you in your invisible balls." His expression flattened.
" Really?, wow. Just get in the damn car." I sighed and he unlocked the door and with a hesitant stare I made my way inside the car.
It was silent for a moment then he spoke up. " Where to? " I pursed my lips. " My home, which is Cherry Drive 1304."
He nodded. " Weren't you invited to Rouge's? " I nodded. " Yeah but I can always walk." He looked at me his expression once again flat. " Really?, you want to walk in pouring weather, all the way to isleta and turn three or four roads arrive at Rouge's house sopping wet, catch a cold and end up having to walk home?"
I groaned. " Well when you put it like that. Make everything all negative." I huffed. " Besides, I don't have a car, so walking and running are my only options."
He shrugged his shoulders slightly. " Well I'm going there to, so why don't I give you a ride? " I looked at him questionably.
" Hmm okay I guess." My phone buzzed and my ring tone ' No Faith In Brooklyn. ' By Hoodie Allen started playing.
I sweat dropped and answered. " Hello?, Manic?, whoa calm down! n-no don't panic you idiot! i-its going to be okay, I- hello? Manic? Manic answer me please!"
The line went dead and I began to panic inside. On the outside I gave a sigh and began to text him;
' Manic answer me please. '
' Are you okay? '
' Manic PLEASE '
' ....................'
He answered none of my texts and it was driving me insane. Shadow must've noticed it to cause he looked at me with a look of concern.
" Is everything okay? " He asked me. " Just peachy." I mumbled as he pulled into my drive way. I opened the door walking up to the door, then I noticed the door was creaked open.
When I pushed it open and walked in tears rushed to my eyes. My boxes of stuff were opened, and everything was everywhere. My windows were full of eggs and spray paint.
My house was trashed and worst of all in the kitchen was the last photo of my family, ripped and it had cigarette holes burned into it.
I blinked away tears and grabbed whatever I had left shoved it into a bag, grabbed my pajamas and another set of clothes stuffed that into another bag and running back to the car.
He looked at me questionably. " Are you sure everything's okay? your acting really w-" I cut him off. " I'm fine. Just shit that doesn't matter, now can we leave? "
He sweat dropped and nodded starting the car and driving to Rouge's. We drove in silence and it was awful, once we arrived we walked up the steps and Rouge opened the door.
" You guys took forever! " she huffed. I sighed and she let us in. We had tons of fun, we played tag, hide and seek in the dark, had a water balloon fight, played spin the bottle, watched a movie and now almost everyone is asleep.
I was wide awake and silently crying. What happened with Manic? well he was in the house with grandpa when grandpa Chuck was brutally murdered and I have no way of knowing if he's okay...
Then to top my day off, my new house was broken into. Just peachy eh?
I gave a small quiet sniff and turned around jumping as thunder crackled through the sky. The truth was, I was terrified of thunder. Manic used to hug me and spend the night in my room on nights like this.
Manic...
I chocked back a sob then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I froze in place as they slowly turned me around, it was Shadow.
He sat down by me on the inflatable mattress, he slowly brought his arms around me and let me cry on his shoulder.
I cried, just until I fell asleep...
Shadow's P.O.V
I had no clue why she was crying but, I know that judging from her personality she's not one who cries over nothing.
When she fell asleep I still didn't leave her side, instead I lay-ed on the bed held her close and soon I fell asleep to...
' What a sleepover...'
