A poem on the concept of heart and brain at war, both want different things dont they?..

My Heart and Brain at War
One had the expectations which the other never adored,
An eternal conflict, the heart and brain at war,
One wished to wander away while the other holds back,
Tales of the past untidily kept on the memories shacked
Stubborn as one was drowned in the pool of emotions,
One saw the crimson beauty of petals while other anticipated thorny notions,
A rational conflict of one against the careless whisper of the other,
Ensnarled by the emotions the empty soul lay withered
The choice is what it lays in the question itself,
One thinks while the other feels both emotion delved,
Whom to follow,
That red pool of emotions that sets the soul on fire,
Or the interwined roads of intelligence, introspect is what it desire,
Perplexed between the two warriors that call,
The moment of ephiphany is when I realise they will forever continue to brawl.
