The rest of the day went smoothly except for lunch that was pretty awkward but they all got past that and now it was time for there last class of the day. Potions.
"Today we will be working in pairs but before you pair up I have decided, that for this specific project, to pair you up myself." Professor slughorn said. After a few minutes there were only 6 people left.
"Mr. Pettigrew and Mr. Snape, Mr. Potter and hmmmmm, maybe.......no.....yes....yes..yes.... Miss Evans!" Lily looked like she would cry while James looked like he would explode of happiness.
"And lastly, Mr Black and Mr Lupin." Remus numbly shook his head 'yes' while Sirius pulled him to a table.
"Does anyone know what potion this is?" Slughorn asked and Remus' hand instantly shot up, even though he has never been good at making potions he always knows the right one to use or which potion is which.
"Go ahead and tell the class Mr Lupin." Remus nodded, "Thank you sir. This potion is Amortentia, the most powerful love potion in the world." Sirius looked at Remus with an impressed face. Even when arguing with the person, if the marauders are impressed they'll show it.
"It's rumored to smell differently to each person according to what attracts them. For example, I smell....." he took a step closer to the potion and took a whiff.
"New books" Sirius rolled his eyes thinking 'of course'.
"Chocolate" Sirius, James, and Peter, chuckled but stopped immediately when slughorn glared at them.
"And.....um." Sirius looked at Remus who was now blushing 'what could he possibly smell to make him blush so much' Sirius thought and raised an eyebrow.
"We—well—well, I- I umm- I smell—" he mumbled the rest. 'No—no it—it can't—can't be possible I—i—I don't smell—I can't—can't smell him!' Remus thought
"I'm sorry Remus, can you speak up?" Slughorn asked
"And a hint of leather but mostly wet dog fur ." Sirius completely turned in his seat to look at Remus who was now blushing furiously and rubbing his neck, an act only done by James. James, who was behind us, was trying to contain his laughter but failing.
"Mr Potter! Stop laughing or else 10 points will be taken from Griffindor!"
"I'm—hahahahahahaha-sor—hahaha—sorry—ha-professor." James tried to say.
"10 points from Griffindor and a deten—" mcgonagall burst in and said, "No" and walked away.
"Okay then. For the rest of the class you will research the potion and have until Friday to turn in a 3 foot easy which you and your partner will have to work on together. Part of the essay will be down in class while making the potion." Slughorn said.
The rest of class went silent. Remus dredging detention and Sirius wondering what the hell happened.

Hey guys I know it's been a while since I last posted and I'm sorry but I've been so busy and haven't had a chance to write that much but I'm back and I hope you'll get two more chapters today as an apology. I don't really have anything else to say except I want to let you know that though this is like the 5th chapter of the story this is still the same Monday I mentioned in the first chapter except a different time. Btw I'd like to thank Potterhead305 who's my wonderful beta who without you would have never got this story.
