Rylinn's POV

"Dad, really. We're okay." Scott says.

"I should've been here. And I said I would be at the games." Dad repeats.

"Well, I mean this was just a pre-season scrimmage. I didn't even tell you about it."

"But I promised your mom I'd be around so she could pick up some double shifts at the hospital. I should've been here." Dad explains the apologetic look apparent in his eyes.

"You're here now." I say.

"Jordan Parrish?" Violet says in handcuffs as she is pulled along by a deputy.

"Deputy Parrish." He corrects.

"Sheriff, what is that? Is that the weapon?" Dad asks as he sees the necklace that was used to try and kill many people, including my brother.

"Yeah. It's a thermo-cut wire."

"Parrish, hold up." Dad says catching up to them.

"Where's Kira?" Scott asks as Liam walks up to us.

"She took off. Stiles told her about Lydia cracking the second part of the Dead Pool." Liam explains.

"Her mom's on it." Scott realizes.

"Everyone's on it."

"You're not."

"Not yet. There's still another third, right?"

"Coach, I'm gonna need both their locker numbers. And someone find me a set of bolt cutters." Is all I heard from the conversation Liam and Scott were listening in to. Stupid werewolf hearing.

"I think someone's coming. Hurry." Liam says as we keep watch while Scott goes through Garrett's locker.

"You find anything?" I ask.

"No. Nothing." Scott answers flatly.

I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. Yet again another nightmare. I check to see what time it is. 4:30 am meaning I'm not going to be able to go back to sleep tonight. A while later I get a text from Liam.

Liam - Hey, do you wanna go on a morning run with Mason and I?

Me - yeah sure.

Liam - see ya in 15 minutes.

Me - ok see you then.

Well I've got 15 minutes to throw some workout clothes on and eat something so I don't pass out while running. I put on a burgundy tank top with a sweater because you know me, always cold no matter the weather forecast. I then throw on some shorts that reach to right above my knee and head downstairs. I grab a banana then lace up my sneakers. Just as I'm done getting ready there is a knock on the door.

"Hey Mase, hey Liam." I say walking out the door being careful to lock it behind me.

"You ready?"

"Yep let's go."
