THE GIRL TOOK a deep withdrawn breath. the crisp smell of ripeness masked by perfume stung her nostrils as the plump lips she wore ever so proudly pursed tightly together.

"i lied a little." janet began. a few heads raising, a few eyes rolling as the unbelievably soft voice filled the classroom. she cleared her throat, her tight grip on the flimsy paper causing it to crinkle within her hands.

she had already managed to disrupt her own presentation, what was next?

she continued on with the presentation that had somehow already crashed and burned, "there are things i don't want to tell you like: how lonely i am today and sick at heart." she said - her once quiet voice now a roar throughout the classroom.

tyler always admired that about the girl; he loved her seemingly weak demeanor, it threw everyone off.

he felt a well contained lopsided smirk upturn the corners of his lips as the girl continued on.

"how the rain falls steadily and cold on a garden grown greener, more lush and even less tame. i haven't done much, i confess, to contain it. the grapevine, as usual, threatens everything in its path, while the raspberry canes, aggressive and abundant, are clearly out of control." she said, a sudden eruption of a ringing bell wailing out. in the time of the bell she managed to quickly hand the paper to the teacher and fetch her items.
