Maya arguing with her mother in the kitchen.
"I'm drowning. Drowning in my thoughts. Drowning in my suffering. Drowning in my excuse of a life,"
"Will you ever stop pitying yourself?"
"Pitying myself?
"I'm tired of hearing you talk about yourself! You never speak to me but when you do all you want to do is talk about yourself!"
"You're my mother you're supposed to listen to me,"
"I'm tired of listening to you. If you want to talk, go and stay with your father. You two will get along just great!"
