Maya is sitting on her bed staring at the ceiling. Jacob opens the door but she doesn't look to see who it is. She knows that it's Jacob because her mother left her in the house alone two weeks prior. She hadn't left her bed once, except to use the bathroom. She was a mess.
"Listen Maya. I love you and you may think that you're unable to love but I don't think that's true. I think that you have feelings for me. Even if they are minute,"
"I don't think you love me. You're trying to relate to me. You're tired of feeling alone. You're tired of feeling as though you have no one so you came to me in hopes that I can tell you I know exactly how you feel,"
"I'd die for you. I'd kill to be with you and it's not because I feel lonely. I see past this thick shell and see someone who isn't as screwed up as she says she is,"
