Survivors

The past

I woke up and I saw Mai busy helping people eat breakfast.

"Good morning Trunks."She smiled and handed me a disposable Can of cat food.

"Thanks." I said. She smiled and got back to helping other people. I ate the food, got up, and starting walking. Everyone had some food item in their hand. There were only about 45 survivors.Scratch came over and cuddled around my shoulder. Scratch was my grandpa's cat. Scratch had a sleek black shiny coat of fur and black coal for eyes. 

Obviously my grandparents were dead. Black had already attacked West city where they lived. 

My mother managed to save her lab with a force field she created. Scratch just happened to be there just at the right time. My mother was still alive. 

She was the only family I had left. My father died fighting an Android but I don't remember that because I was only a few months old so I grew up without a father. Good thing my mom was always talking about him saying how he was strong and very proud, she said that in fact nothing else mattered to him except his pride. He never treated her right but she knew that he still loved her on the inside. I also had a friend. His name was Gohan and he was a lot older than me. He was the one who taught me how to fight.

 He also grew up fatherless. His father and mine were actually best friends competing to see who was stronger. His father was stronger than mine but mine always trained to get stronger so Gohan's dad wouldn't leave him in the dust. The thing is his dad died of a heart disease that had no cure, not fighting. I was thirteen when I first started fighting. An android and his twin sister were trying to destroy the world and I wanted to help save the world, and I did years later.  He said 'this Android isn't going to stop itself so u gotta start training'. We trained nonstop until he thought I was ready. The Androids were attacking Central city. Gohan said 'wait for me here until I come back'. I waited he never came back. I went to the now destroyed Central city and found Gohan's dead body. I cried in the presence of my dead teacher. 

Wiping my tears I flew to my mother's lab. She heard about the attack."Trunks where were you? The Android just attacked another city!" My Mother said. She was wearing a red scarf around her neck, she really seemed to like them. She was also wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and her lab coat to top it off.

"I know" I said wiping my tears. "We have to go back in time to get Goku's help."

"But you know the time machine is lacking fuel" My mother said.

"You're one of the smartest scientists on the earth you'll find a way, you always do." I said. She got to work and started blabbering random scientific facts and whatnot that I did not understand. I smiled I knew she could do it.
