"Trunks!" Mai shouted, her face really close to mine.
"Huh!" I felt like I just woke up from a dream.
"I called your name like three times." Mai insisted. " We need to go visit your mom, she said she has just enough fuel to go to the past but not come back, she said to trust her past self to get you back here." Mai informed me. We flew to my mother's lab.
"Hi mom" I said
"Hey Trunks how you been" she responded
"Good, we came for the fuel."
"Ok I got it"

We went to retrieve the yellow time machine, and the word hope still layed intact.

" I have the fuel for it." Mai said. We put it in the time machine.
"Good as new!" I exclaimed. I steadily started the time machine. Then I heard a big BOOM!!! Mai hadn't got in the time machine. I saw her on the floor she seemed unconscious or worse... dead. I jumped down to hold her and see if she was dead. I found no life signals from her.
"Mai..... please." I said with tears already streaming down my face.
