"What's taking Simon so long?" Madison asked, worry evident in her voice. "I'm sure he's fine," Kassidy answered. "He probobly got distracted by that game of his. "Yea, you're probably right." They continued down the hall and past the quarantine rooms. "What were these used for?" Madison asked. "The quarantine rooms were used to hold patients who got too violent. It was never proven, but there were rumors that the patients were tortured while being held in quarantine." They looked through the barred windows on the door and into the barren rooms.
"Do you know why they would supposedly torture the patients?" Madison questioned. "Kass?" Looking around she realized she was alone. "Kass? Are you there?" No answer. "Maddy," the buiding called back. She gasped in surprise, taking a quick step back. She tripped and fell to the ground with pain shooting up her leg. Looking around she saw what made her fall. Laying a few feet ahead of her was a red ball with white stars. "Where did that come from?" She wondered aloud. "Maddy," a voice called out. "Kass? Is that you?"
Kassidy walked closer to the girl sitting on the ground, her eyes glassed over and blood dripping from her forehead. "Kass?" She heard the other girl call out. "Hi Maddy. Have you met my friend?" She tilted her head to the side and gave a smile that made the other girl uneasy. "N-no. What are you talking about?" "This is Amelia." The little girl walked from behind her and gave her a smile.
As the girls walked closer Maddy could see the hole in her forehead she was bleeding from. "K-kass? Oh my gosh." Madeline started crawling back wards, trying to get as far away as possible. "Don't you want to join us here? You can stay with us forever Maddy," Kassidy called out. "No," She answered with tears in her eyes,"I want to go home." "This is home." Behind them she could see the others. Simon, Chloe, and Daniel. They all had smiles on their faces, begging her to join them, but she refused and pushed herself to crawl even faster. Madison felt a firm grip on her ankle and tried to stand and get away but it was too late. With a hard tug she was pulled back, her nails scraping against the floor. Her scream echoed throughout the asylum and into the night air. As the night progressed the asylum was quiet once again, waiting for the next unlucky souls to walk through its doors.
Hope it lived up to expectations!!
