"Wow, Harley, you're looking beautiful," Lacy said as she walked around my Wolf. It came at 11:30 p.m. My mom helped me through it all and called Lacy over the closest of my best friends over. I looked down at my fur. It was auburn colored and my eyes were a shimmering electric blue. I had little white flecks of fur on the end of my tail. I looked up at her and wagged my tail. "It only makes me wonder what my Wolf will be like," Lacy said.

She didn't mean it in a selfish way, it was natural to wonder unless you already had a Wolf. I looked back at my tail and waved it around. What did Hank's Wolf look like? Sometimes our Wolves look exactly like us, as in hair color matching fur color and eyes the same. Would Hank and I's Wolves clash with each other? Of coarse not, I mean we're mates that are meant to be.

"That's my girl," Mom said smiling at me. I looked over at her then walked to her side and nuzzled her shoulder with my muzzle. "And just think, tomorrow we'll both be running at night!" Lacy squealed. I rolled my eyes. Don't get so excited, it hurts shifting for the first time, I told her.
"And you can help me through it," Lacy added, "Now I better be off, I've got to get a good night's rest for tomorrow."
"Goodnight, Lacy," Mom said. Lacy waved goodbye to us both and skipped away to her Civic.

"I'm so happy for you, Harley," Mom said getting down to sit in the grass. I laid down beside her. Mom gave me a sympathetic smile. I cocked my head to the side and whined. What is it? I asked. Mom sighed. "Nothing, I don't want to ruin your birthday," Mom said. I stood up from the grass and barked at her ordering her to tell me. Something was wrong. "Harley, please. Everything is fine," Mom assured me. I shook my head and let out another bark. Mom sighed in defeat. "I just wish your father was here to see you in your Wolf," Mom said. I cocked my head to the side. "Shift back, sweetheart," Mom told me.

My bones popped and I flinched and sometimes let out a squeal as I shifted back. I panted when I returned to my human form. "What are you talking about Mom?" I asked.
"Your father, he was a werewolf too. We met eighteen years ago, late June. He was a Rogue that was passing through and told me that his mate had died. We bonded after a few hours and after a while and a few too many drinks-" Mom explained looking at the grass.
"You mean I was an accident? My father was a Rogue? What was his name?" I asked.
"Vincent. He was a nice gentleman and treated me with respect. But he was on the run and couldn't stay long. He promised to keep in touch and after a few months, I never heard back. I did send him a baby picture of you with one of your bows to his last known location, I didn't hear back though," Mom answered. I nodded but yet I was still confused. Why didn't she tell me before?

"I- I think I'll go to my room, I need to think about some stuff, and I have homework to do," I told her. I walked up to our house and went into my bedroom. It was all a shocker. I mean, there was never a guy in my mom's life, it was just her and me. I knew that I had a dad one point in my life, I mean that's how I was here right now, but all of this at once? I just got my Wolf and I find out who my dad is and that he was a Rogue. It was just all too much in one day. I laid down on my bed and after a few moments, crashed.

My vision was blurry at first but then focused. Where was I? I looked around then shifted into Wolf with ease. That was odd. I should go through pain when I shift until I get used to it. I walked around in my Wolf as I let a beautiful scent travel through my nose. Where was it coming from? I paused over by a river and bent down to take a drink. I would have let out a scream, I tried to let out a scream but it wouldn't work. I did everything I possible could but nothing happened. I just took a drink then looked at myself for an instant before running off again to find the scent.

Who was I? I mean whoever that was, was not me. They had a brown Wolf with glistening yellow eyes. My Wolf was nothing like that. Was I in someone else's body? What was happening?

Suddenly, I- or whoever I was froze. Several feet away was an ivory colored Wolf with lime green eyes. A brown line went down her muzzle and for some reason she made me freeze. I felt a connection travel through me and to the other Wolf. She sniffed the air then looked at me. Wow, I thought. But I knew it wasn't me, it was whoever I was right now. I stepped closer to the Wolf as she examined me. I was inches away from her now and ever so gently rubbed my nuzzle against hers. She blinked at me and I could tell if she was in human form she would blush.

I backed away and shifted into my human form. I- as in myself knew immediately I was in a guy's body. I didn't have breasts. The girl followed my lead, her hair was a dark brown and she had light brown eyes.

"Who are you?" I (the guy) asked.
"Delilah," she answered her voice sweet as honey. Or at least the guy thought. "I'm Vincent, you are a very beautiful woman," I said. Vincent? As in my father Vincent? He was cutting to the chase with his mate. But, he cheated on his wife, his mate. Wouldn't that break his bond with her. Delilah blushed. "Thank you," she chirped. Vincent nodded and walked towards her. "You're my mate," he stated.
"I know," Delilah replied. He held her hands and looked deep into her brown eyes. "Come with me," Vincent said.
"With you? But- but my pack," Delilah replied.
"Forget about them and come with me, we need each other more than we need them. We can run away together and start our own pack," Vincent told her. Delilah looked behind her shoulder deciding whether to go with her mate or not.

"Alright, I'll come," Delilah answered. A smile spread across Vincent's face and he leaned in and kissed her forehead. It all fogged around me and disappeared.

My eyes- my actual own eyes- popped open. My alarm clock beamed the time in red, 3:45 a.m. I sighed, taking in my dream. It was a dream wasn't it? It had to be, but my father, he was in it and it felt so real. It couldn't be dream almost as if it happened before. I ran a hand through my hair and laid back down thinking through the whole dream.
