Maddie's P.O.V.

Finally summer break was here and my dad told the family we were going camping for 3 weeks. I packed my bags and we were on our way. I didn't really want to go but I didn't really have a choice.

After a 7 hour car ride with my annoying brothers Marc and Sammie I was ready for a long nap. Maybe even a 3 week nap. I helped my dad unpack the car and put the tents up. "Okay kids there's lots to do..." I cut him off.

"Lot's to do you bring us into the middle of no where and say there's lots to do, the only thing that's here is trees, trees, trees, and more freaking trees dad!" I shouted at him. "Madison!" He shouted back at me. "There is a lot to do, you can go to look out point." Then Marc cut him off and I couldnt help but laugh. "What's look out point?" He asked. "Well if you guys would stop cutting me off..."

"I didnt cut you off." Sammie said cutting him off. "Look out point is down that path you can take a walk and find out what it is." He said pointing down the pathway. He looked really, really mad and I thought it was pretty funny.

Me and my brothers walked down the path to the cliff. "Wow that's a big drop." Sammie said looking over the edge. "It would suck if you fell." Marc said nuging him to the edge. "Don't you two dare start horse playing near the edge. The last thing I need is one of you two to fall over the edge. Or even both of you." I said looking at them.

"Don't be such a worry wart Maddie." Marc said smiling. "I'm being serious" I said. I walked back to the camp site to see what was for dinner. "Just then Marc came running. "Maddie we should of listened Sammie fell over, I'm sorry it was a total accident.

I ran to the edge of the cliff and saw Sammie sitting there. "Marc I thought you said that..." he cut me off. "We were just kidding, we wanted to see how you would react." Marc said grining ear to ear. "You really would care if I fell over." Sammie said. "No, I knew it was a joke all along." I said walking back to the campsite making sure they were in front of me so they couldn't do anything stuipd.

When we got back dad had hotdogs ready for us. "So how is the view?" my dad asked me. I couldn't really see it I was to busy keeping an eye on this two dumbys to enjoy anything. "Well why don't you go back when your finished and the boys can stay here and give me a hand with things." he offered. "Yeah I can go watch the sunset."

When I was done I walked back down the path and sat near the edge. "Hello!" a boy said. I thought dad told you to stay and help him. "What do you mean?" he asked me. I looked over and saw a boy I've never seen before sitting beside me. "Who are you?" I asked him. "I'm Ethan." He replyed.

"I'm Maddie." I told him. "So where are you staying?" I asked him. "What do you mean?" He looked at me very confused. "I live here on the cliff." I looked at him like he was crazy. "You can't live here, now be serious where are you staying." I said shaking my head, "I told you I live right here on the cliff." I looked at him and grinned. "Okay, so if you were to live here...Which I do." He cut me off. "Why do you." I finished off. "I live here because I died here, I fell off the cliff 6 months ago."

I opened my eyes wide. "You're a ghost?" I said. "Yeah." he said. "So where are you staying he asked if this wasn't already weird enough. "I'm... I'm... I'm staying at the campsite right down the path." I said pointing down the path. "Oh that's where I stayed before I died."

I was getting really creeped out. "Well I got to go now." I said standing up. "Will I see you again?" He asked. "Yeah I'll come back tomorrow. And like a flash I ran off trying to process what had just happened.

"Back so soon." my dad said. "Yeah I heard something in the bushes and it kinda creeped me out." I said going in my tent. "I'm going to bed I'll see you in the morning." I said to the boys sitting around the fire. "Night Maddie!"

"Hey Maddie!" I heard Ethan say to me. "What are you doing here it's 3 o'clock in the morning." I said rubbing my eyes. I got lonely and I knew I could find you here. He lyed down beside me and I drifted off to sleep.
