Bucky groaned as he hit the floor. "nngh " he groaned. Why is it so hot in here? He thought. He stretched, his flesh arm hitting a chest of drawers. Hard. " Ow! What the fuck?" He grumbled, sitting up. " hey grumpy, want breakfast?"

Steve was at the door. " Fuckin Hypocrite. Says the one who once slept in the bathroom and locked himself in just so he wouldn't have to go to school and also so he could have a lie in" Steve went red and rolled his eyes. Bucky stood up and stretched properly. He walked over to Steve and threw himself into his arms. He nuzzled into his neck and purred slightly.

Steve carried him into the kitchen. He set bucky down on a stool and kissed his forehead. He let go of him and went to grab a plate. Bucky whined at the loss of contact. " jesus buck. Why are you being so clingy? " he teased. Bucky shrugged. Steve came over with plates of bacon eggs and toast.

" I have no idea" bucky shrugged. Steve set the food down in front of him and sat down besides him. Bucky scarfed down the food quickly. He was starving. Steve planted a kiss on Bucky's temple. Bucky leaned so it would linger.

" excuse me Mr Barnes, but I believe that ,according to the increase of hormone production going on, you are experiencing your heat." F.R.I.D.A.Y echoed.
"How? I took the pills Tony gave me!" He said. " perhaps your metabolism digested them too fast?" Steve shrugged beside him. " Whatever. Wait no! The mission!" He whined. Steve pulled him into a hug. " It's ok love. It's your body. It's not your fault" he soothed. " this isn't fair" bucky felt hot tears spurt down his cheeks. He felt pathetic. " hey what's wrong?" Steve pulled him into his lap.

" I'm useless. We're meant to be on a mission together." Bucky buried his face into Steve's neck. " don't worry. I'm sure Nat and the others will be able to complete the mission on their own." Bucky looked up confused. " oh come on buck. I read the files. You've been on suppressants for over half a century. I'm staying." Bucky didn't fight him on this. He was too tired and frankly he'd be glad of the company.

End of chapter two. By the way, this ain't gonna be one of those omegaverse fics where the omegas being driven mad by their heat and can't think of anything else. Bucky's going to be horny sure but he ain't gonna be on his back begging to be knotted. Just wanted to establish that.
