Vanessa
The party was kinda loud as we got there. Music was blasting and everyone was dancing. I had saw Bobby talking to someone but I couldn't tell who was. They had on a cute outfit though. That's when Bobby came over to us.
"You two enjoying the party?" He asked. Me and Roni had nodded. "Yeah it's fun. But I'm gonna go find Aaron. Is that okay Nessa?" Roni glanced at me and I shrugged. "Go for it. I'm gonna go get something to drink." I said. Bobby nodded. "Okay. I want you to meet a friend of mine later." He told me.
"Alright. I'll meet up with you later then." We nodded to each other before I walked. I figured the friend would be a girl. I wasn't too sure what I liked but I had told Bobby I was feeling slightly confused. He had volunteered to find me a pretty girl to see if I really liked girls. I wasn't too sure about it but I figured why not.
That's when I walked into the kitchen and saw a person hunched over the cooler. "Uh excuse me, what drinks are in there?" I asked. The person then turned to look at me and my eyes widen. "Oh my god" Alex said. For a moment I was too shocked to say anything.
"Alex! I didn't think you would be here." I got out finally as I looked over my outfit. She smiled as she stood. "Oh, Bobby invited me. I didn't realize you knew these people." Alex said as she looked at my outfit. "Yeah, me and Bobby are friends. I actually have a YouTube channel." I sheepishly explained. Alex's eyes widened again. "Really? You never said anything about it. Like at all?" I looked away for a second before looking in her eyes. "Well I didn't want you to know about it yet. I wanted you to like just me, Vanessa." I explained.
"You wanted me to like you?" Alex questioned. I realized what I said as my face turned red. "Oh! I mean, if you're into that. I didn't even think to ask. God I'm embarrassing." I muttered as I tried to hide my face. But then Alex gently grabbed my hands and pulled them away. "Vanessa calm down. I was just messing with you. Of course I like you. I was just too scared to say anything." Alex told me softly. I smiled as she lowered our hands. "Really? I've been trying to ask to hang out since I walked in to that coffee shop." I replied.
"Yeah, you're like super pretty. I just never knew how to say it. So I drew cute little doodles in the hopes that you'd like it." She said. I smiled at her words. It felt nice to know the feelings had been mutual. And that I was finally talking to her outside of ordering some coffee. "Well, since we're here. How about we grab some drinks and just chat?" I suggested. She had seemed caught off guard but quickly relaxed. "Yeah sure. Sounds good." She calmly responded.

After getting drinks, we found a pretty nice place to sit. The music wasn't too loud and the people weren't too obnoxious. My heart couldn't slow down as we sat close together. I kept nervously fiddling with my hands.
"So, do you just work at that little cafe?" She asked. I took a breath before replying. "Yeah. I work there and go to college. Once I'm done I'll actually get a job I enjoy." I joked. Vanessa's eyes lit up at the mention of school and I chuckled. "I go to college too! I major in tv production. What's your major?" "Graphic design. Hopefully I can just be an artist and get my work put in museums." I responded. The conversation continued from there, bouncing from subject to subject until Bobby happened come over.
"Hey! Nessa this is actually the girl I wanted you to meet. I guess you two must know each other already." He said with a smirk. Vanessa blushed before glancing at me. "Oh, we met at this cafe. I go there sometimes and we started talking." She explained. I looked up at Bobby and grinned. "Why'd you want us to meet? Trying to set us up?" I questioned. He shrugged and nodded and Vanessa just seemed to blush more. "Well it seems that I didn't have to do anything. You two seem pretty cool with each other so I'll leave you two alone." He said with a wink.
"So I take it you want to start dating?" I looked at Vanessa once again. "Yes, well kind of. I'm a little confused about... this. Liking girls and all," she paused as if looking for words. "I know girls are pretty in a gay way. But I'm not sure what I am." She finished off. I nodded softly. "I get it. I felt like that once. I'd be glad to help you figure it out. I could take you out or something." I offered. She seemed to consider it for a moment. "That doesn't sound bad. But how about right now you come dance with me?" She asked.
"Alright. Warning I'm not a good dancer." I said playfully. "I'm not either. We can be bad dancers together." She retorted with a wink. A smile came to my face as I found myself dancing the night away with her.

It had been getting late and we had gotten tired and found a way to the rooftop. It was calm up here. Just us and the noises of the city. It felt relaxing really.
"So what made you start questioning. If you don't mind me asking." Alex spoke. I glanced around for a moment thinking of an answer. "Well I guess I always questioned it. But I was dating someone so I just ignored it. But once I was single I noticed I had these feelings for my friend. She made me realize." I told her. I didn't know if I should said that friends name considering Alex may have met her. "Did you ever tell her or do anything?" I made a confused face at the last part. "Do anything?" I asked. Alex chuckled slightly. "Ya know, see if you like being with a girl compared to a guy or if it's just the same for you." She explained. I had never said anything about the crush and I definitely never thought to act on it.
"I've never done anything with a girl. Have you?" I couldn't help but feel slightly nervous at the thought. I didn't even know if I would like it. "Yeah, I've mainly been with girls. But if you're nervous it's understandable. It's like a first everything all over again," Alex laughed softly and suddenly I felt more relaxed. "When I asked I didn't mean we had to do anything right now. I'll only do whatever you're comfortable with and if that's just holding hands that's okay." She stated. Her words only made my heart beat quicker. 'God why does she have to be so cute' I thought to myself. In that moment it was an easy decision. And even easier to get the words out.
"Can I kiss you?" Alex stopped for a moment as if she thought I was joking. "Yes." She responded. She took a step closer to me as I took one closer. She was taller than me so I actually had to look up at her. My heart raced as she placed a hand on my cheek. Then we both began leaning in. I leaned up on my tip toes as Alex met me in the middle. When our lips met it felt like everything stopped. Kissing her was so much different than kissing boys. Her lips were soft and tasted like strawberry and mint. Her hand dropped from my face down to my sides and my arms wrapped loosely around her neck. After what felt like forever we pulled back.
"You're a great kisser." Alex said and winked. My mind felt high off the kiss. Without thinking I said, "That was the best kiss I've ever had." Alex smirked cockily at that. "Wanna do it again?" She asked.
