DISCLAIMER: This chapter will mention jötnar (plural for jötunn) which are commonly known as giants. However, jötnar are also referred to as trolls, and I really wanted to use my terrible pun, so yeah.
Aside from that, Chapter 2 let's go ;)
Alex POV
I woke up as a lion. I figured that with the mane I was male today. I also figured that Magnus was probably suffocating under the thick forest of hair, so I shrinked back to myself. My heartbeat accelerated. Gods, was I that nervous around Magnus I turned into an animal. I prayed to Odin that Magnus didn't notice. With that thought in mind, I really needed to relieve my kidneys, so I stealthily got out of the tent and started searching for an appropriate location, when my mind got hit with a sledgehammer.
Physically I was unharmed, but the mental damage was heavy. If you're perceptive like my Maggie, you would know there was no physical hammer. The hammer was a memory from last night, when I was hanging precariously on the edge of consciousness. Magnus whispered three words:
"Good night love."
This was only the second time he had flustered me so badly. The first time was his declaration on the Näglfar.
My thought process was cut short when I heard a booming "H E L L O."
"Puny einherjär, I BRING ADVICE THAT YOU NEED MOST, BUT WITH A PRICE."
Towering above me stood a jötunn, 20 feet in height. Tiny for a giant, huge for humans. I might or might not have wet myself. I blame my weak kidneys. Thankfully, Magnus appeared at the perfect time. Ruffled and untidy blond hair, half-asleep eyes, still smokin' hot.
Magnus POV
I appreciate, being able to sleep in, so when some troll decided to s'troll (I'll stop) by and interrupt my sleep, you could imagine how mad I was.
"I ASSUME YOU ARE MANGUS, SON OF FREY," boomed the jötunn.
"Err... It's Magnus, but yes, that would be me."
"I BRING TO YOU INFORMATION. OF B R A G I. BUT WITH MY INFORMATION COMES A PRICE."
My first thought was to run, since giants can be deceiving (Utgard-Loki) but if he could help me with my Bragi situation, that would be great. I was getting tired of listening to Jack singing 'Justin Bieber's Top 10 Hits' and the only way to shut him up is to get him that damn poem.
"So what kind of price are you talking about?"
"I SHALL ONLY ANNOUNCE THE APPROPRIATE PRICE AFTER YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE DEAL."
"Okay I agree."
Probably one of my worst decisions ever, but my ears were seriously starting to hurt from Jack's off-key Baby, baby, baby oooohhhhhhhh. I confirmed my suspicion when Alex screeched and stared daggers at me.
"HA! OKAY. THE PRICE IS. YOUR NECKS!"
If he had striked at that moment, we wouldn't have survived. Fortunately for us, his ego was bigger than his size.
"SEE HOW I SAID NECK? ONCE, LOKI BET HIS HEAD AGAINST THE DWARF BROTHERS OF EITRI AND BROKKR. HE LOST THE BET. HOWEVER, HE BET HIS HEAD, NOT HIS NECK, SO THE DWARVES COULDN'T DECAPITATE HIM. HAHAHAH."
I caught Alex shuffling towards the giant's flank. Since he was the fighter, I decided to buy him some time.
"Wow, that's really smart. Learning from others' mistakes!"
"I KNOW RIGHT? I COULD FACE LOKI ANYDAY, ANYWHERE AND HE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SCAM ME!"
Alex was directly beside him now. Just a little longer.
"That's great. Hey, can I know your name? So, you know, people can know about you and how smart you are. You will become famous!"
"HMM.. YES, BRILLIANT IDEA. MY NAME IS- (JOHN CENA HEHEHE JK ^-^)"
That was when Alex sailed through the air and lopped the giant's head right off. He landed perfectly on the ground, wiping his garotte on the grass.
"You could say that he just got 'Troll'ed pretty hard," I said.
"Your puns are almost as bad as your face," Alex fired back.
"So my puns are great because you have said it before that my face was pretty."
Alex rolled his eyes and walked back to the campsite. He was not quick enough though, as I caught a glimpse of a blush rising up his face. Smiling at my accomplishment, I followed him back to camp.
Chapter 2 done. What do you guys think?
CYA nextime ;)
