Anniversary Plans

Mel's POV

The bell for first period screeched as the clock struck five past nine, I stood up and grabbed my bag putting my phone in my pocket as I fixed myself and then made my way out of my registration room. My phone buzzed and I took it out and couldn't help but smile when I saw the text was from Alex.

Made it just in time :D :P Shame you're not in Biology today :( x

I know :( But you'll see me tonight :D :P Anyway, I've been thinking, we should go bowling or something for our 2nd month :) x

I couldn't help but grin as I thought about us being together for so long. I couldn't believe it was working out so well between us! I stared to blush as I thought about it...I was really starting to fall for him. My phone buzzed and I looked down and pressed a button to light up the screen. I was just outside the door to my Religious Education class when I felt someone hip-bump me. I looked up to see Mickey. He smiled down at me.

"Hey, how've yah been?" I smiled back.

"Not too shabby, yourself?"

"Fine thanks"

We went into class talking about our plans for the weekend, he seemed a bit upset when I mentioned 'Andrew' but I ignored it. I hate having him like me when I didn't like him like that back. It felt lonely not having Jordan beside me, but she was at the dentist and wouldn't be in till third period. So I sat chatting to Mickey who decided to sit next to me today. I took a quick look at my text from Alex.

Or something sounds good...I wanted to talk to you about what to do when you came over tonight, I have a kind of...surprise. Anyway I have to go, I'll text you at the break :) x

My heart was racing; a surprise? I got a little excited and Mickey could tell.

"What's got you all hyped up?"

"A-And-rew has a surprise for me for our second month anniversary" I blushed as my heart pounded in my chest; I nearly called him Alex.

Mickey nodded and then looked forward as Jade and Debhora came in with the giant tea pot and started pouring the tea; Mrs McHugh came bouncing into the class as happy as ever wearing a plain black top, a long dark sea green gypsy skirt and Doc Martians to match; she had a thing for them. Sometimes during quiet times when we were supposed to be doing mock exam question's we would catch her looking up new Doc Martians online. We were finishing off our Buddhism topic and started Philosophy today so I tried to pay extra attention, this is where Mrs McHugh said it got tricky.

My phone buzzed in my pocket just after the bell for second period went. I gasped quietly getting an amused look from Mickey. Mrs McHugh finished her talk a few minutes later and then left the room and let us have our ten minute break. I moved so Mickey couldn't see my phone and I sat back in my chair and text Alex. Mickey and Cassie started to chat, I was only half listening when I heard her mention Alex.

"I heard he's got himself a girlfriend. makes sense when you think about it" Cassie shrugged.

"Who?" I asked playing dumb while turning to the back of the class to face Cassie.

"Mr Jackman. People are saying most days he hardly puts his phone down. He's clearly hooked on someone and getting some"
