"Ah, it's good to be home." Aquaman said as he sat on his throne in Atlantis.

"Indeed it is, my King." Mera responded.

"So what's our play?" Aquaman asked.

"Our play?" Mera asked. "What play?"

"Our plan! We have to stop Black Manta and whatever is in that- that- Bubble City!" Aquaman said.

"I understand that my King, but we need to be smart. I understand they captured you and you're probably pretty pissed off about that, but we can't just go attack that city." Mera explained.

"And why not?"

"Because there are innocent people in that city! There wasn't just a prison, Arthur. There were houses, buildings, parks. It was a legitimate city, like Atlantis."

"Don't ever compare that place to the beautiful Atlantis." Aquaman defended.

"I'm sorry but you get my point. Maybe if that's all that they did, then we don't really need to attack them unless they do something else." Mera explained.

"Something else?" Aquaman started as he stood up from the throne of Atlantis and swam over to Mera. "Black Manta is evil and needs to be stopped. He said that he would do whatever it takes to make sure that the entire ocean bows to him and him alone. When we fought- on land- he murdered this innocent woman in cold blood."

"Really?" Mera asked. "Did you stop him?"

"I tried. Next time he tries to attack the tribes of man, he will have to go against me and the armies of Atlantis." Aquaman said.

"What sparked this newly found obsession with protecting the tribes of man?" Mera asked.

"I've been holding grudges against man for years, after they killed my father with that nuclear missile. But they didn't know that there were freaking cities down here." Arthur chuckled.

"I suppose you're right." Mera started. "I'm glad that-" Mera got interrupted.

"My King!" A guard yelled as he swam rapidly into the throne room.

"This better be important." Aquaman said.

"Sir!" The guard started. "Black Manta and his armies are attacking the surface world!"
