Darren's POV
/////
As we walked up the stairs i thought about her name. Claire. Claire Rose. A beautiful name for a beautiful person.
"What?" She said. Oh no. I'm saying my thoughts. You're such a weirdo Darren! I felt my cheeks burn up.
"Um, nothing."
I opened the door to my room and let her in.
"I'm sorry it's such a mess."
She smiled at me and sat down on my bed. I sat down right next to her.
"So what grade are you in?" She asked.
"Eighth. Locker 310." She doesn't know who I am? She's the only girl I talked to that doesn't drool all over me. I'm enjoying just being seen as a normal guy.
"Really?!?" She looked surprised. "My locker is 309! That means were in the same core classes. What's your electives?"
"Spanish and chorus." Really hope she has those electives as well.
"I take Spanish, but not chorus. I can't sing for the life of me." She laughed. Even her laugh is cute. "Well I have to go now but I'll see you around school."
She tried to get up by pushing off of my bed, but tripped on my shirt that was on the ground. She fell on me. Her lips touched mine. I swear I saw fireworks. We lie there for a solid 3 seconds until my sister comes in.
"EWWWWW! MOM DARREN IS KISSING A GIRL!" She yelled on the top of her lungs. Claire pushed herself off of me and fixed her shirt. I scrambled to my feet, flustered. Lyn just ran away laughing.
"I didn't mean to- I'm sorry-I just- you know- slipped." She stuttered. I pulled her close and pecked her on the cheek.
"I had fun today." I said as I smirked. She stared at me. "What? It was just a friendly peck!" I winked at her.
"Whatever", she smiled, "see you tomorrow at school".
We exchanged numbers and I followed her down the stairs. I looked at her as she went back into her house.
"She's pretty cute isn't she?" My mom said behind me.
"MOM you gotta stop scaring me like that! And no. We're just friends. Just very close friends.
