Boys! Think they own anything they can get their hands on! I ran out of the hall, took off my heeled shoes and let the hem of my prom dress hit the floor. Lifting it slightly I began to run home with tears on the brink of escaping.

For the entirety of year 11, not one boy had taken the slightest bit of intrest in me, but as soon as they see me all dressed up, they swarmed like bees.

This was meant to be my night, one that I'd never forget. Now I wanted to forget it. The rose on the waist of my dress was now lying somewhere on the floor in the hall. Some stupid know-it-all guy had probably pick it up and pocketed it like some sort of perv.

Stones cut the souls of my bare feet

"Gabby! Gabby wait!" His voice breaking my heart.

"Go away Matthew. You've ruined everything!"  My voice breaking. Matthew was a popular. A guy who wouldn't be seen dead with someone like me, yet he'd asked me to be his date tonight. I'd stopped paying attention to the road ahead of me.

"Gabby stop!" The two shouted words were the last two words I consciously heard.

But I guess I should start at the beginning.
