9 November, 2038

Every Android knew this date would go down in history.
And she just stood there in the middle of the hall, with her partners in crime, North, Josh and Markus. North, for the first time in history, wanted to back out. Aria assured her that it would be alright.

Markus walked out first, converting the first Android. Quickly Aria followed, converting a few Androids. Soon, they were walking down the streets with what might have been over three hundred Androids behind them.

They slowly paced down the streets. People were looking at them. Some people tried to stop their Androids from joining in, others were too scared to intervene. Others yelled at their Androids, cursed, calling them out, demanding them to come back. Not with many results, though.

Aria walked up front, together with Markus. The two who gave hope to Jericho, the two who freed Jericho, made Jericho grow, and eventually big and powerful.

A police officer stood in the middle of the road, as the group of Androids continued to march.

"Hey! Disperse! Disperse immediately! That's an order!" He yelled loudly at the group, but the group didn't follow his orders. They would follow their leaders. Markus and Aria.

They made eye contact for a short moment, before throwing their hands up, showing their surrender. All Androids followed. The hundreds of Androids all threw their hands up to the sky, showing their surrender and no intention to harm any.

The police officer mumbled something, clearly impressed. He walked to the side, unsure of what to do. Markus and Aria lowered their hands, and so did the other Androids. They continued to pace down the streets again.

"Set us free! Set us free! Set us free!"
"Equal rights! Equal rights! Equal rights!"
"Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!"

"We are alive! We are alive! We are alive!"

"Liberty for Androids! Liberty for Androids!"

"We are people! We are people!"

Those were the words that echoed through the streets of Detroit. But when they had almost reached the end of the street, cars and buses arrived. They read 'POLICE' and 'RIOT CONTROL' in clear letters. A short shock of regret pulsed through Aria's head, but she knew they could not give up now. Not after they came so far.

Even a helicopter and a few tanks stood in their ways. The riot control barricaded one way, while the police did the other. The Androids walked towards the riot unit.

"We came here to demonstrate peacefully, and tell humans that we are living beings." Aria spoke, taking a small step forward. She looked behind her, seeing the trusted Jericho members, and the over three hundred new Jericho members.
Markus continued. "All we want is to live free."

"This is an illegal gathering. Disperse immediately, or we will open fire."

Markus also took a small step forward now. "We're not looking for confrontation. We've done no harm."
"And we have no intention of doing any." Aria continued. A press helicopter had arrived. This would mean the public would see what the government would do to the Androids.

"But know that we are not going anywhere until we have secured our freedom."

"I repeat: this is an illegal gathering. If you do not disperse immediately, we will shoot!"
North looked at both Markus and Aria. "They're gonna kill us... We have to attack! There's more of us, we can take them."
Josh also spoke up. "If we attack, we'll start a war. We have to show them we're not violent. We should just stand our ground, even if it means dying here."

And then Simon, on his turn, spoke. "And dying here won't solve anything."
"Markus, Aria, we need to go, now, before it's too late."
