It had only been six months since Lyanna's murder. Father had went and found the killer: a trusted servant who was hung for her crimes against us. I still mourned the death every day, but Robert had been there and helped me get over the loss of Lyanna. Every day I'd go to the crypt to see her statue and hope for her to come back to me.

"Chastity? Are you alright?" I heard Robert call from behind me and snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I'm alright, Robert," I replied, placing my favorite necklace of Mother's onto Lyanna's crypt as Robert wrapped his cloak around my shoulders in the bitter cold.

"Your Father informed me of the ball later today," Robert said, looking at me strangely.

We walked to the main hall where the majority of people were putting up banners and preparing food for the ball. Through the corner of my eye, I saw Mother ordering people around and I walked up to her for some answers.

"Mother, this ball - what is it?" I asked as Mother seemed confused.

"There's no time for questions, my child. We have to get you ready, Chastity," Mother answered, taking my hand to lead me away from Robert.

"Mother, what's happening?" I inquired as she began brushing my hair.

"You'll understand soon, my child," She answered as she and maids began readying me for the ball.
