Ep. 6 Twin Dolls

Karlea's POV

"I'm over this all of my friends are dying. Matt was one of our last hopes. Now he's dead because of Joey, thank you so much." Colleen told everyone. "If anyone, blame Manny-" "Why me?" "You went up against him." "Cause I'm the strongest bitch here!" Joey and Manny argued back and forth. "Nobody misses him more than I do. I miss him so much." Ro told us. "Listen up, guys! I've come to the conclusion we're all gonna die anyway, so we might as well just enjoy our last moments." Colleen told us.

"Colleen take a chill pill, please. Joey, whatever you do don't think of it okay. It's not your fault about Matt. We can make it up to him by making sure that we fulfill his last wish and find that Lazarus coin. We have to focus on saving the town now ok. I promise that everything will turn out fine." I said getting frustrated. I snuggled into Joey's chest. I used a bit of my magic to bring a root beer over for me. "Do you want any more to drink anyone? I can bring it over for us," I told the group. "I guess that is a no then, and we should probably get to work. So Colleen, get your butt over here."

"There will be blood on your hands. The price of being heroes in this town of horrors." Safiya readout. "The doll maker's shop is new. It says The Doll Maker's children have changed. They want to spin in circles but keep fighting over which horse to ride. Maybe you can help?" Joey readout. We figured out that it was the merry-go-round. We saw a box and a button. Nikita pressed the button and the merry-go-round started to spin. The box opened and inside was this head to a doll. "The Night Killer's doll is split in two: the body and the head. To begin cleansing the doll, you must find the body and reconnect it to the head. Beware the Doll Maker's children were corrupted." I readout.

We then headed towards the doll shop. Colleen ran ahead of us and stopped. I saw why she had stopped. There were doll feet in a trail until we found a foot that had a key. We found a door with a lock on it and inside were some dolls at the stations and a glass case with a headless body in it. I think that is the Night Killer's doll body. "There is the body and a note. I found a journal, it says, I did not know what the carnival master had given me. It's no ordinary doll. I discovered it's made from the skin of a serial killer... known as the Night Killer. I couldn't fathom the things he did to people. I locked the case with each act. Only a sick and twisted mind will be able to open it. And they'll deserve what they find." Manny read out to us.

We have to torture these dolls and by the look of it, each one of these acts will unlock that case. After Colleen and Nikita drowned a doll in a pool of water, one of the locks opened. I saw a table with a scroll. "Little fox, you have used your powers to save a friend, beware for soon more will reach their end. What the heck does that even mean?" I asked myself. I placed the scroll in my pocket and went to help the others. I went over to the station Collen was at. "What are we doing here?" I asked Colleen.

"This one is tongue-tied. Getting her to talk might be a stretch." The note said. "Maybe we have to stretch the tongue."I offered. Colleen picked up the tongs and pulled on the doll's tongue. "The tongue just broke," Colleen told me. "Umm, well that is interesting?" I said. "Karlea, Colleen, what is this?" Manny asked coming over to us and grabbing the tongs. Manny gripped the tongs and pulled on the tongue till it broke. After he did that one of the locks opened.

"Guys, we found a jar. It says: Reach inside if you dare." Joey told the group. "Someone hold my jacket," Joey said and I grabbed his jacket. "Yeah, I'll be by the case away from the blood and whatever else that is," I said gagging. I was never really one for blood. I was waiting beside the box when I felt the crystal tug at my neck.

The others finished the task and the last lock opened along with the case. "The Night Killer murdered over a hundred people before he was carved up and turned into a doll. His evil acts live on in this child's toy, granting it the power to bring the inanimate to life." Joey read the first part of the not. We have to first reconnect the head and body, then place it in the Maiden of Madness to complete the cleansing. The Maiden of Madness was locked away in the doll maker's shop.

We also had to look out for the twins who were brought to life by the Night Killer's doll and what to kill us. We headed towards the doll shop and there in town were the twins holding knives. The twins chased after us until we got to the doll shop. I was the last one in and one of the knives was close to my booty. "That was too close," I said, catching my breath.

The Maiden of Madness was hidden behind three tests. The first test, someone had to stick their hand down a garbage shoot. I placed my hand in because it was only for ten seconds. There was really nothing to it. The next test, someone had to pull a lever to the other side of the table while it shocked them. Safiya did that test and, I have a high level of respect for her.

The group needed to divide in two to claim the blood doll back at the warehouse. I went with Joey, Safiya, Ro, and Roi to claim the blood doll. Manny, Nikita, Colleen, and Nathan stayed behind to finish to test of blood.

-- In the Dool Maker's Warehouse--

After we got the blood doll, Joey found a note and a container. "You have the blood doll and should go, but if you're a seeker of thrills, there's one last treasure to uncover. If you want to play swallow a red pill." Safiya readout. Joey took a pill and had to reach his hand into a jar of tar. Inside was a coin. The last coin that we needed. We headed back towards the Doll Maker's shop.

"Joey, I just want to say I am so proud of you. Also, I love you." I told him. "Seal the blood doll in the maiden's face to open the chamber," I read the first part. Manny placed the blood doll in the face. Joey and Manny opened the maiden and inside there were spikes, blood, and organs. "No please don't say we have to. Joey, I have a feeling this is like with Justine." I whispered, tears streaming down my face.

"Shh, hey it's ok. If we have to do that just stay here. I am not losing you." Joey told me. "You have opened the Maiden of Madness, and regret will surely follow. To cleanse the Night Killer's doll it must be placed in the chamber beneath her feet. Then one of you must be chosen by vote, oh no, to forfeit their life and enter the maiden. Once the door has been sealed and their screams have been ceased, the doll will be cleansed. Choose wisely their death will weigh on your conscience. That is so twisted." I said after finishing the note, turning away from the group.

Karlea: This is too much. I can remember Justine's death so clearly. She was crying, begging, running, and fighting to get away from the group. All I could hear at that moment was her begging the others to stop. Whoever we put in there, their death will be on our hands just as Justine's and everyone else was on our hands that night. I am so sorry to everyone we couldn't save.

We had started discussing and all I wanted was for this night to end. My eyes were turning red at the thought. Nathan and Roi were both holding me at this point, while Joey was voting. Soon it was my turn. I turned to face the group and held the card towards them. "Colleen, I could never vote for someone who is like a sister to me." I said and handed Calliope my card. Colleen hugged me and thanked me. Most of the people voted for Colleen, but there was no way I was for someone out of cold blood. That was my choice most of the night. I voted for myself throughout all the challenges.

Joey had his arms around me while Roi and Nathan rubbed my back. Colleen was voted to go into the maiden. As I heard the others and Colleen's cries, I buried my head into Joey's chest crying. Colleen was always like a sister to me. We got the blood doll and left to the lounge.

"We cleansed the artifact, but at the end of the night, we are killing our friends. I guess that is what the clue meant by saying we would have blood on our hands." I said. We put the coin in the box and inside was a harp.
