Slowly walking into the dark room I could hear the sounds of painful ragged breathing. I squint trying to get my eyes to adjust to the darkness and once they do my heart freezes. I saw fen. Laying on a big bed, looking ragged and weak. But he was alive. That one thought brought tears to my eyes as I rush to my brothers side. "F-Fen?" I whisper resting my hand on his shoulder. Slowly fens yellow eyes open. And slowly he meets my eyes. The next thing I know Fen is on top of me, violently trying to bite me. "Fen!" I cry out struggling to push him off me. Fen roars snapping his jaws dangerously close to my face. "Fen! It's me. Please it's me!" I cry gently trying to push him away. But fen was getting closer and closer. He was just so much stronger then me. I knew that fen wasn't aware of what he wasn't doing. Because he was stuck in a flashback. And everything he did, well that wasn't fen. I had to snap him out of this. Before he did something he would regret. "Fen it's me!" I scream desperately trying to break Fen from his flashback. Fen ignores me and roars loudly once more. It was a wonder my siblings weren't here. "Fen please it's me. It's celestial!" Slowly fens eyes widen. And he realizes what he's doing and who he was trying to kill. Fen jerks himself back away from me as I groan holding my stomach in pain. Pain was slowly spreading throughout my body and I was sure I was going to be black and blue. Fen gives a soft whine of horror and lets a few tears slip. "It's me Fen. It's me." I pant leaning my head back on the floor. My head pounded from the impact of my head against the floor from when Fen tackled me. Fen slowly presses his cold nose into my stomach. I whimper as this sends aches through my body. Fen whines pulling back. He shakes his head in horror, backing away from me. "Fen!" I whisper reaching out to him and resting my hand on one of the scars on his paw. It was one of a matching set of four scars that had caused fen to become so withdrawn and cold towards mortals. It was the scar that had changed him forever. Fen had been through so much and I tried not to think about it. Because it broke my heart to think about everything he had been through. I could see the horror and pain Fen held in his eyes for attacking me. But it wasn't his fault. The things that Fen had been through caused massive nightmares. Fen kept most of his pain hidden from us but sometimes that pain would violently lash out. Fen hesitates but slowly he comes closer to me. His eyes full of tears. I gently wipe a few away. "It's ok fen." I whisper slowly sitting up. Fen whines as I wince clutching my stomach. He nuzzles his massive head under my arm and slowly he helps me stand. Leaning on him for support, fen helps me to the bed. I slowly meet fens guilty eyes. I knew that he was afraid of hurting me again but I knew that fen would never purposely hurt me. Fen grunts as I tackle him in a massive hug. And this time I no longer fought to hold back my tears. "Oh Fen." I cry. "I thought he killed you." I whimper into his shoulder. Tears slowly soak fen's soft fur. Fen whines gently nuzzling me, trying to make my tears stop. Fen whines softly once more and gives a small lopsided smile. He presses his nose into my stomach and this time it felt good. His cold nose pressed up against my sore stomach. I cling tightly to fen and curl as close to him as possible. "Oh Fen. You don't know how much I would have hated myself if he had killed you. It would have my fault. I would have never forgiven myself if you had died. I'm glad he's dead. Because I hate him for hurting you and dad." I whisper. Fen gives a small growl and sternly shakes his head. The look in fens eyes told me that had he been strong enough to shift into his human form that I would have been in trouble. I swallow. "I'm not sorry for what happened Fen. I would do it all over again if it meant I wouldn't lose you. I don't think I could take it if I lost you." I mumble into his shoulder. Fen sighs and slowly nuzzles my shirt. I slowly lift my shirt and once fen sees the bruises starting to form, he looks away. "Fen it wasn't your fault!' I say gently resting my hand on the scar on his paw. Fen slowly meets my eyes. "I'm not mad Fen. You and I both know that you would never purposely hurt me. I trust you." Fen sighs once more and nods. I lean over and hug Fen tightly burying myself in his soft fur once more. Fen gives a small chuckle and gently curls around me. "I'm really glad you're ok Fen. If I lost you-" My voice chokes up with tears. Fen whines and nuzzles me making me smile. I hug fen tightly after wrapping my arms around his massive neck. Fen gives a small smile and it looks like an idea pops into his head. Before I can figure out what that was Fen suddenly licks me, leaving me covered in spit. I scream. "Ahhh fen! Gross!" The laughter on fens face was all to clear. "That's so not funny Fen." I groan wiping my face. And as mad as I wanted to be, I just couldn't bring myself to be mad at my brother. Knowing that he was alive and that I hadn't lost him, prevented me from being mad at him. Fens laughter dies down as I hug him tightly and hide my face in his side to hide my tears. Fen gives a soft whine and nuzzles me gently. I slowly look up and meet his eyes. "If you had died Fen. I-" Fen whines and I hug him even tighter. "I'm really glad you're ok Fen. I don't want to lose my brother. Ever." Fen smiles and rests his head gently in my lap. I gently run my fingers through his fur. This makes Fen smile and rest his eyes. I was starting to feel just how exhausted Fen really was. Hela was right. He was weak. "Get some rest Fen." I say wiping my eyes. Fen doesn't open his eye sight but gives a small grunt, tightening himself around me. I smile and slowly I lay my head back on fens side as exhaustion begins to take hold of me as well. And soon I am fast asleep as well, curled up close to my brother, protecting him from anything that would ever try to harm him.
