“What?” “Um, as I said, you’re in Camelot.” “No, no no no; this can’t be. It can’t be real.” I noticed a door behind the two and headed straight for it, pushing past them. “No wait!” I ignore him, walking straight out the door and into a stone corridor that looks like it belongs in a castle. I begin to head down the corridors, hoping to find my way out. Merlin continues to follow me, trying to stop me. “Please, just stop.” I turn into another corridor and notice some windows further down, heading straight for them. Merlin realises my idea and gently pushes me against the wall, not forcefully. “Please, just stop.” “No.” I push him out the way and run over to the nearest window flinging it open. I look out the window and stagger back into the far wall. Cautiously I walk forward again, grabbing onto the window sill and looking out. I stare out over a courtyard of a rather large castle, people bustling about down below. In the distance I spot a town, smoke billowing up towards the sky. The people down below are dressed in medieval clothing, all the woman in dresses. A group of knights ride straight into the courtyard, parting the groups of people. A golden dragon crest rest upon all of their red cloaks, which they wear along with their armour. As the knights dismount I close the window and turn to Merlin. “I’m really in Camelot?” He nods his head, confusion and sympathy in his eyes. “Come on, I’ll take you back to Gaius.” Deflated I follow Merlin, not taking note of the way back. We walk back into the room and I slump down into the nearest chair, placing my head in my hands. “Are you okay?” I look up to see the older man looking at me kindly, sitting opposite me. “No, not really. You are?” “I am Gaius, the court physician here in Camelot.” I nod, looking over at Merlin. “So, how did I get here?” Gaius also looks to Merlin in disapproval. “Yes Merlin, how did she get here?” “I, uh, I don’t know. I was only trying to summon a broom!” This adds to my confusion. “What do you mean summon?” “Uh, I- I have magic.”

“What do you mean summon?” “Uh, I- I have magic.” I regret it the moment I blurt it out, my  eyes widening in shock. “MERLIN!” Gaius roars in shock. I stare down at the floor as Gaius glares at me. “You have… m-magic?” The girl manages to ask before collapsing to the floor. Gaius rushes to her side, checking her vitals. “She’s okay, just shocked. Place her on the spare cot Merlin.” I easily lift her up and place her on the spare cot before heading for my room. “No so fast, Merlin.” Sighing I turn to Gaius, who holds out a purse of gold. “What’s this for?” “Seeing as you bought her here you are going to go out and buy her some clothes.” “But why, she’s wearing clothes right now.” I gesture to the figure on the cot, and I finally notice she is dressed rather oddly. “Merlin, until you figure out how to get her back she must blend it with us. So go and get her some clothes.” “Fine.” Taking the gold I reluctantly head to the market, hoping not to bump into Arthur. I purchase a dozen different dresses, three shirts, two pairs of trousers and three pairs of shoes. I manhandle the bundle into my arms and head back to my quarters. “Merlin, is there something you’re not telling me?” I look over the bundle and see Arthur standing there smirking at the dresses I am holding in my arms. “This is going to be good.”
