Alright, I know the picture on the side is Gwen but this is what Bree's new dress looks like, so just imagine Bree is wearing that dress.

I sigh at Arthur before continuing on my way back. “It’s okay Merlin, I understand completely.” I don’t need to look at him to know that he’s smirking as he keeps pace alongside me.  “Why didn’t you tell me Merlin?” “What, that you’re a prat?” “Very funny, you’re an idiot. So, if the clothes aren't for you, who are they for?” I  had to think of something, and fast. "They're for Gaius' niece, she's studying as his apprentice." Arthur nods and I smile, it seems he bought it. As we near mine and Gaius' chambers Arthur stands in front of the door. "So, why does she need clothes, surely she bought some with her?" "Uh- she did but, she was- attacked by bandits who stole everything except what she was wearing." Arthur laughs, opening the door and moving aside. "How stupid do you think I am?" I grin and Arthur frowns, hitting my arm "Don't think about answering that." I walk in to find Gaius hunched over a book, flicking through it's pages. "Gaius, I got the clothes for your niece like you asked." Gaius doesn't look up, instantly realising that I had said niece for a reason. "Thank you Merlin, just place them over there." I clear some space and place the clothes down before turning to Arthur. "Look, they're for her." I gesture to the woman on the cot and the smile slowly vanishes from Arthur's face, a grin appearing on my own face. "Oh. Well, you better go and polish my sword, clean my armour, prepare my dinner and draw my bath." My smile vanishes and I nod, turning away and mumbling under my breath. "Prat." "What was that Merlin?" "I said of course, sire." He smiles, nodding at Gaius. "Good, I thought so." Arthur leaves and I shut the door, turning to Gaius. "My niece, Merlin?" "I had to tell him something. Besides, you can't say anything; how many times have you told him I'm down the Tavern?" Gaius smiles, patting my shoulder. "You better get going." "Alright." I take one last look at the sleeping figure before heading off to do my chores.

Merlin had left a while ago and I was busy preparing a potion for one of the servants when the woman stirred, regaining consciousness. She sits up, rubbing her eyes groggily. Putting down the ingredients I take a chair and sit opposite her. "How are you feeling?" "I, I'm not sure. This is a lot to take in." She looks around the room, curiosity and fear in her eyes. "I didn't ask earlier, what is your name?" "Bree, my names Bree Adams." I smile kindly and she returns it. "Gaius, where did Merlin go?" "He went to complete his chores, he is the manservant of Prince Arthur." She looks at me in shock "The Prince Arthur?" "Yes, why?" "Wait, that means that was the Merlin, the greatest Warlock of all time?" "What do you mean?" "Where I'm from everyone knows the legend of Merlin and Arthur, and of Camelot. People remember them for generations." "Where are you from?" "I guess, from the future. I'm from 2012." I listen intently as Bree explains about her time and where she's from, somewhere named London. After she finishes her explanation I begin to explain about Merlin's magic, and how only myself and Lancelot know of his powers, and about King Uther. "So not even Arthur knows?" "No, he cannot know, at least not until Arthur is more accepting of magic. It is Merlin's destiny to protect Arthur." "Even though Uther would execute him for it?" I nod and Bree smiles sadly.

"That must be so hard on Merlin, I can't even imagine." Gaius nods, I can tell he cares greatly for Merlin. Looking around again I notice a pile of clothes placed on a table. "Are those for me?" "Yes, until we figure out how to get you back home you'll have to blend in and live here." "What will I do?" "Seeing as Merlin has told Arthur that you're my niece, that's what we'll go with. You can study as my apprentice seeing as Merlin spends a lot of his time working for Arthur." I smile in thanks and walk over to the pile, trailing my hands over the dresses. Even though I hardly ever wore dresses back home I had to admit that these dresses were simple yet nice. "Did you pay for these Gaius?" "Yes, but it is no trouble; seeing as Merlin summoned you here in the first place. Now, you can change in Merlins room." He gestures to the door at the back of the room and I grab a purple dress and a pair of black shoes, very similar to a pair of ballet flats. Walking into the back room I find myself in a nice little bedroom; simple and cosy. I get changed into the dress and walk back into the main room, my normal clothes piled in my arms. Looking around for a place to store them I notice my old shoulder back on the floor by the spare cot. I place my t-shirt, jeans, jacket and converse back into the bag. While putting them away my hand brushes against something, which I pull out to reveal as my phone. The door opens and Merlin walks back in, looking tired. I quickly shove my phone away and stand up, running over to him and hugging him. "What?" I laugh at his confusion and pull back smiling. "I can't imagine what it's like having to hide your magic from Uther, I just wanted to say that I think you're really brave." I turn to Gaius, who is smiling at the both of us. "Right, so where am I going to stay then?"
