Neitha spent many years with the Medjai admiring Algernon and all in it. As of late, and

in particular, she started admiring her first creation Dedeyo. Such a mannered individual whose

eyes and wit left an impression upon her beyond measure. He always had a word of beauty for

her. In her thinking, he loved her and she wasn't wrong about it, but this was not the love of a

being for its creator. Dedeyo always admired her, however, her beauty was greater to him than

she knew. There wasn't a chance to fail him where he didn't tell her how beautiful she was.

She found it was best to keep to modesty on these matters. After all, she was his creator,

hence, he would naturally find her beautiful. Hers was the first face he saw after being created

and she is all that he knows, aside from Algernon, the beings in it and what knowledge she has

given to him. She sensed it but now that she looks back on that time, she was surprisingly

unaware that Dedeyo was in love. Neitha never left his mind no matter where she was, but it

wasn't until the day by the Glistening Pond that she realized she felt the same.

"Deyo, Jump" Neitha said laughing as she watched him from the shore!

"Do you want to see me jump," he replied smiling back at her "will you come catch me,"

knowing she was admiring him?

"Though the thought crossed my mind," she smirked with a hint of flirtation "I'd rather

see you swim to me. I do call this the Glistening Pond for good reason."

"Okay, I'll jump," Deyo said "but you have to come and jump with me!"

"Ha! And what will you give me for prize if I do," Neitha asked peering from the corner

of her eye playfully?

"I have nothing to give that you don't already have," Deyo's tone changing to that of one

of the 'Wurks she taught him. Placing his right hand over his heart and head to the sky "To

include my heart fair lady" Deyo belted as if atop of the castle of a fairy-bell tale!

"Oh..." she said with a giggle, "you give me nothing but words! Not only will I jump, I'll

jump from that Peak" she said pointing to the top of the waterfalls about forty kribits high.

"No need to be spectacular my beauty, it's but a mere friendly challenge" Deyo exclaimed

wittily!

Neitha rose, smiling, but paused her motion to soak in the victory of what will soon be a

delightful jump and swim across the lake and a chance to brush past Deyo. She enjoyed the

warmth of his smile and his charm she yearned for while she was away. They showed a

constant coquet of innocent flirtation between them and yet neither realized how the other felt.

She looked up at his smiling face while he was posed rather clumsily atop the short plateau.

"Well, come on then, time is at a steady flow" said Deyo anxious to see her beauty

ostentatiously mince by.
