John POV.
We get to the 4th floor and laf unlocks the door and holds it for me and Herc can go inside. I go first because idk why I just wanted to go. When I walk in I see Alexander almost crying. He's watching a movie. I recognize this movies since it's once of my favorites.
"The little mermaid!!" I say and almost drop the drinks on the coffee table. I love this movie. I pull a blanket off of lafs bed and run over to the couch next to Alexander. "Can I sit?" Silly that I have to ask but I don't know if he'd be ok with it.
He looks up at me and I wanted to hold him so he's stop crying!!! "Umm sure.." he seemed sad I want him to be happy. What could I possibly do.
"Oh yea and to make up to your hot chocolate I dropped, we got more" I thought that'd make him a bit more cheerful and it sorta did. He faked a smile and then pulled some blanket on to his side.
"Um Alex.. can I call you that? Why are you crying?" I didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable but I was just wondering. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want. iwasonlywonderingandimsorry."
He looked up at me and wiped away his tears. He then rested his head on my shoulder.
"If I'm being honest.. I'm a bit scared for school to start. And yes you can call me Alex. John? What are they doing?" He pointed to laf and Herc in the kitchen. They seem to have been flirting while putting the ice cream in the freezer.
"Well I think they are putting the ice cream away. But i don't know what the rest of that is." We continue to giggle to each other on how they don't know they are flirting with each other.
"Hey what is going on here?" Herc seemed confused as to why we were close.
"I could ask the same about over there." That sounded better in my head. They everyone looked at me. SORRY IM NOT THAT GOOD WIRH ENGLISH...
"I think he means what was going on over there? Were you guys putting the ice cream away or planning on what you'll do with the ice cream later..." Alex saved me but WOW.. such a sexual way of saving me.. both Herc and laf turn bright red and I look over to Alex who was already looking at me and started to laugh.. "so what is with all the ice cream?"
Oh yea we haven't told him. "It's a tradition.. we call it the start of hell ritual. Herc and I created it back at the beginning of 9th grade. Laf joined a year after. And Aaron joined the year after. Now it's your turn." It was true. Me and Herc go wayyyyy back. Of course the other guys do too but the base of this is me and Herc.
"Aaron? Who's that?" Ha he knows who it is but I didn't use last names.
"A friend of ours.. I'm sure you'll know him, he's on his way with pizza. Right?" I look at Herc who is on his phone.
"Yes he'll be here in 5 minuets." He put his phone down and then eyes how close Alex and I were. He squints at me and I try to not turn red.
"Anywho.. since you are the newcomer, the newbie, the initiate. You pick the first movie." Here looked at Alex and then showed him to the collection. We kept them with laf since he's the most organized and responsible. If we kept them back at our dorm, we'd never get work done.
Alex looked over the many, many movies we had. "Ooo that one looks cool.."
"NO. Not that one. Not any of these. Or he'll go crazy" hero pointed at me when saying he'll. And Alex didn't seem to know why.
"Which?" I wanted to see too but I didn't want to get up off the couch.
"Potter year 1." Herc explained
"Awwww why not?!? I love that one!!! Then we can see the rest of the films!!!! That's not fair.. herCC why not???!?" I don't understand why he won't let us watch Harry Potter. It's one of the most amazing things ever.
Laf and Alex are just looking at the other films as Herc comes over to me and tried to calm me down a bit. "You can watch them later. And read the books. But we need one film till burr leaves and then we'll get super high. And if you have 8 movies, we'll never get shit faced."
I pout but at least I know why he doesn't want to watch them. Maybe then I could watch them with Alex, yknow like a marathon.. maybe one day.
"The breakfast club?" Alex didn't understand the point of the title. And he said more of a question then a statement.
"Great pick. I love it!" Laf took the case from Alex's hands and began to but the dvd in the place thingy. Idk what it's called. When we heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." I walk over to the door knowing it's burr but not eating Alex to know just yet.
"Hey, Laurens can you help me.. they're kinda still hot and I'm burning myself as we speak..." I nod and take the boxes from his hands and let him train in behind me. This man wasn't kidding when he said they were hot. 3 boxes to be exact. Not much but we can always order more.
"Oh hey.. you're coffee shop guy.. how'd you like the hot Chocolate?" Burr faced Alex as he sat on the couch a great distance away. My spot still clear.
"Oh yea ha funny story. John knocked it out of my hands as I walked in.." he eyed me as I walked towards the kitchen and sorta laughed a bit.. letting them talk to each other as me and Herc got the ice cream.
