We were walking down the street. People were a buzz, not that I notice them. She captured my entire gaze. She walked with a spring in her step, like every movement gave her a burst of happiness. Her hair was flowing with the wind, golden as it hit the light. Then she turned to look at me. The world stood still. It was a moment between seconds, a moment between heart beats, a moment that lasted a glorious eternity. Her every pore exclaimed her pure beauty. From her perfect nose, to her soft lips, she was beautiful. They say that the eyes are windows to the soul, well, she proved that. Her eyes were that of a goddess. They were blue, like no other blue. A blue that conveyed intelligence, kindness, humour, and strength. The were a powerful blue. A blue you could never look away from. The blue was punctured but a rippling gold. Gold like her heart, gold like her soul. Gold for all the goodness within her, gold for all the potential she had, gold for how she made others feel, gold for the joy she cast around the world with every springy step, gold for the light emanating off of her hair, gold for her perfection, gold for her complete and utter beauty. You could get lost looking into those eyes. You could spend forever and ever looking and it would feel like mere seconds. But then an eternity was over with the blink of her eye. The moment had pasted, but the way she made me feel had not.
