Jason McCann Doesn't Fall For Anyone - Chapter 8

I covered my mouth with my hand and let the tears fall at the scene in front of me.
‘’Shit…’’
Justin quickly covered himself with a blanket and let out a few more curse words.
‘’Samantha, I – ‘’ ‘’Don’t you dare say a word Justin!’’
I sobbed and wiped some of the tears away with the bottom of my sleeve.
‘’I trusted you! Just…’’
My voice cracked at the end.
I looked at him one last time and turned around, walking down the hallway.
‘’Samantha wait!’’
I didn’t want to listen to him, so I continued my way out the front door.
 Justin ran behind me, followed by Sasha.
‘’Justy, wait!’’
‘’Not now, just leave me alone!’’
He grabbed my arm and made me turn around and made me look at him.
‘’Samantha please, I’m sorry. Please forgive me, I didn’t mean to-‘’ ‘’Didn’t mean to what, huh? Fucking cheat on me with that fucking slut?!’’
He had a shocked expression on his face by my sudden outburst.
I pulled my arm out of his grasp while more tears fell from my eyes.
‘’Samantha, I..’’
His eyes showed regret but I didn’t care at the moment.
I just need to get away from this. All of this.
So I ran. I ran as fast as I could until I bumped into someone, sending us both crashing down on the floor.
‘’I’m  so sorry.’’
I quickly stood up and looked at the person I crashed into.
‘’Jason?’’
I helped him up and he just smiled at me but his face fell when he saw my puffy eyes.
‘’What happened? Why are you crying?’’
He wiped away the remaining tears and held my face in his hands.
I couldn’t take it anymore. I wrapped my arms around his torso and buried my head in his chest.
He hesitantly hugged me back and pulled me closer to him.
I cried, completely ruining his shirt with my mascara but he didn’t care.
‘’Samantha!’’
I looked behind me, to see Justin running towards us.
Pulling away from Jason, I let out a shaky breath.
‘’Can we just get out of here?’’

He nodded and led me to his car.

We quickly sat in the car and he drove off.

I looked in the review mirror and saw Justin trying to get Sasha off him.
She’s so clingy.
‘’What happened?’’
I glanced at Jason but quickly looked back out the window.
‘’I caught Justin cheating on me.’’
‘’Oh.’’
I looked down and bit my bottom lip, to prevent myself from crying again.
Noticing he was turning on the street I lived on, I looked at him.
‘’Can we go to your place? Justin will probably look for me at home so... I mean if you don’t mind.’’
I muttered the last part.
He just chuckled.
‘’Yeah, sure.’’

We parked in front of a small but cozy looking house.
‘’It’s not much but it’s home.’’

I smiled at him.
‘’I like it. It’s cute.’’
We went inside. There were some guys sitting in the living. One of them must be his brother.
As we walked through the living room, to the stairs, one of them whistled.
Jason just groaned and grabbed my hand, pulling me up the stairs.
We entered what I’m guessing was his room.
There were some pictures on the walls and they were painted blue. A king sized bed was in the middle of the room and a closet on the right.
‘’C’mon, sit down.’’
I saw he was sitting on the bed, so I joined him.
Our backs were against the headboard.
‘’Now, tell me exactly what happened.’’
I looked down and told him everything. When I was done, he pulled me into him and I buried my head in his chest, letting the tears fall.
I was surprised that I had any tears left after crying so much.
I calmed down after a few minutes but I didn’t want to let go. He was so warm.
My eyelids got heavy and I started drifting off to dreamland.

  *Jason’s P.O.V.*

Samantha soon fell asleep after crying for about ten minutes.
Her heart may be broken but that was a good thing. Now I only need to make her fall for me and get the money already.
I know. I’m heartless but I don’t care. As long as we get the job done.

I unwrapped her arms from my torso and laid her on the bed.
I checked the time, while walking down the stairs. It was 5:30 pm already.

Time flies.

‘’Yo, guys! Change of plans.’’

They all looked up at me in confusion. I just rolled my eyes and sat down next to Matthew.
‘’Sam and Beaver broke up, so I need to make her fall in love with me and get the money. Her family is pretty rich too, so we won’t have a problem with that.’’
I leaned back and crossed my arms on my chest.
‘’Are you sure you won’t fall for her before she does?’’
My head snapped up and I glared at Alex.
‘’I’m Jason McCann. I don’t fall for anyone.’’
With that, I left the living room and went back upstairs.
Samantha was still sleeping and I was getting tired myself, so I laid down next to her. She cuddled into me and got comfortable.
I was too tired to move her, so I just put my arms around her and closed my eyes, thinking about what Alex said earlier.

Maybe he was right.
